(Y/N) was dragging her feet, exhausted and then decided to take a break.
Sitting down on a hill and enjoying the warmth of the sun her mind began to wander.
"How long has it been?" She thought to herself. "Too long.".
She laid down trying not to succumb to the exhaustion that was trying to coax her into sleep. She was accustomed to sleep in the daytime, so her body was still not used to the change as well as the heat.
Just as she was about to surrender to her tiredness she felt something land on her face.
"Hmm? What's this?" She mumbled to herself reading the flyer that had disturbed her.
Vaizel Fighting Festival!
(A/N: Not gonna bother with dates)
Our annual match will not only hold the usual prize of 100 golden coins, but also a brand new weapon! Step up and prove your strength in Vaizel village.
Winner takes all!
(Y/N) Smirked to herself, she hasn't fought for fun in a long time. Looking at the date she realized she was just in time with a day to spare for preparation.
"Well. It IS for a good cause in the long run. I am a little rusty so if there would ever be an emergency I wouldn't be able to fight properly. So it's technically justified"
She let the paper drift into the wind and headed off to Vaizel.

"When are we getting theeere?" Ban complained, stretching after just waking up.
"You shouldn't complain when you've slept through most of the journey, Diane is the only one here who has to walk" King said while glaring at the Greedy sin.
"Says the one who floats around on a pillow 98% of the time he's awake" Ban scoffed and then leaned in close to Kings face with a smirk. "But I bet you would love to let her rest on the pillow next to you"
"S-Shut up!" King yelled while covering most of his now bright pink face.
"Enough guys. Ban why don't you fix something for everyone to eat, we are almost there" Meliodas said while preparing the tavern for opening.
"Fine, fine" Ban said rolling eyes. "By the way Captain? Since we're all entering I was wondering what would happen with the prizes?"
Meliodas rested his chin in his palm thinking for a moment.
"Well the Gideon is obviously going to Diane, but the prize money will go to the one of us that wins I suppose"
The fox grinned "Well if I wasn't motivated enough for this competition that detail did it for me"
He walked off to the kitchen and started cooking while daydreaming about what he was going to do with the prize money once he had won.
-Timeskip to taverns opening-
(Y/N) settled down in a corner booth, hugging her cloak close to her body, careful not to show a single inch of her identity. She looked nervously around the tavern that was now filling up, embarrassed that she, who has battled against the most unimaginable things, would be so on edge because of simple social interaction.
"Hello! My names Elizabeth, what can I get you?" (Y/N) looked up at the smiling girl, mentally vomiting at the pink clothing attacking her eyes (A/N No offence! <3), then back out the window.
"Just something strong to drink and something light to eat, please" she said deepening her voice a little on purpose.
"Alright! I'll be back shortly sir--maam--.. " Elizabeth didn't finish as she dashed off to the bar talking to the blonde haired boy who (Y/N) could not help but get a familiar feeling towards.

"What's wrong Elizabeth? Did someone feel you up again?" Meliodas chuckled seeing Elizabeth come towards the bar really flustered.
"N-Not at all sir Meliodas! I was just a bit clumsy with that customer over there. I couldn't tell if it was a man or a woman since the voice was kind of deep" She said while carefully pointing at the hooded figure in the corner booth.
He chuckled at her worried expression "I'm guessing it is a guy since you said he had a deep voice" He said while looking at where Elizabeth was pointing.
His eyes widened as he recognized the mask around the persons mouth.
"I recognize that person!" He whispered to Elizabeth while motioning for her to lean closer.
"Really? Is that a friend of yours?" She asked and he shook his head in response.
"I don't really know him per se. More that I recognize him, he helped us all out back then when we were framed."
Elizabeth gasped "Really?! How?"
He took a minute to go trough that dreadful day, considering it was a while ago his memory was a bit hazy.
"Well, it was right before we separated, we were all trying to escape together at first but it was too difficult and just as we were attacked, he blocked them" he chuckled "calling us idiots for trying to escape unnoticed in such a large group. He was incredible, swift fast movements, like he was flying and he could strike with such force!"
Elizabeth glanced over to him, seeing him tap his gloved fingers in a melodic pattern while looking out the window. "What happened then?" She asked.
"I don't know, he disappeared as quickly as he came. I figured he was dead. But there's one thing I can't help but wonder"
"What sir Meliodas?"
"Where is his staf-"
"Captain! Stop chatting and get to work both of you! The orders ready!" Ban yelled in his ear while placing down the tray of food.
"Let's talk about that some other time" He said to Elizabeth while rubbing his now damaged ear.
A/N : OK! So that's it for my first chapter!
Im working on chapter two right now, I just felt like this was a good moment to end this chapter. It might feel a little slow but more will happen in chapter two.
