A/N : Hey guys! I have decided to make this story a liiittle bit shorter than intended.
The thing is that I have alot of other projects right now and writing a fanfiction makes it a bit challenging and confusing to balance with everything else going on.
But I will finnish it and hopefully it will still be enjoyable. <3
On with the story!
After a few days of traveling, everyone began to notice (Y/N) getting more and more antsy and easily irritated at everything. She sat down at the bar grabbing some liqour after denying another meal.
"Miss (Y/N)?" Elizabeth said walking over carefully.
"Yes?" She mumbled, clearly not wanting to engage in conversation.
"I just wanted to make sure you are ok. If you need to talk-"
"Thank you Ellie but I really am not in the mood." She said as she watched the hurt that was clear in the princess' face.
She rubbed her temple and sighed "Look, I didn't mean to be rude. I'm just, restless"
"Restless?" Elizabeth asked while sitting in the seat next to her.
"Yes. The thing is, I have traveled alone for so long and on foot that this" she motioned around the tavern "is really starting to get to me."
"Then, may I suggest you go on, I don't know, maybe a run. I bet Ban would go with you"
This caused (Y/N) to choke a little on her drink "Why would you mention him?"
"You two have recently gotten along better and you both enjoy the same things. Besides, I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you made it into a competition"
"What's this about a competition?" asked the fox walking in from the kitchen.
Elizabeth explained about the conversation earlier, earning a huge grin from him as he took off and put away his apron.
                              "Sounds fun, let's do it"
(Y/N) scoffed "Oh please, like you could keep up with me"
"As I recall, I am just as fast as you and if it weren't for a certain pervert, I would have won that contest" he grinned at (Y/N) who coughed awkwardly.
"Alright, fine. What are the wagers?"
Ban went over and grabbed a map from the wall and put it down on the bar and both scanned trough it.
"About 20 miles from here there's a cliff that connects to a waterfall, the first one to reach it and then make it back , gets to ask the other for anything"
"Anything?" (Y/N) asked nervously looking up at Ban.
"Anything" he smirked, he couldn't wait to finally win over her.
                              "Done"
Both shook hands and went off to tell everyone else about their upcoming contest.
                              -Timeskip-
Everyone had agreed on letting Mama and Diane take a break while they waited for (Y/N) and Ban to finish their little wager.
Both stood on opposite sides of Meliodas who had his arms up in the air.
"Ready?" he asked and both nodded.
"GO!" he shouted as he threw his arms down.
                              And they took off.
(Y/N)'s mood immediately lightened as she ran across the forest jumping with ease from one tree top to another, watching Ban on the ground matching her speed.

Forever Condemned ( A Ban x Reader Story)
Fanfiction(Y/N) can barely remember how long it's been. Weeks? Years? She hasn't seen the sun or slept out in the open for decades. She's seen peoples faces - but never shown her own. Listening in on conversations knowing they will never be directed at her...
