Chapter 9.

I walk downstairs and see Alice, Hal, and Polly standing in the kitchen. "Where's Betty?" Alice asks, confused.

"She's getting dressed" I answer.

"Would you girls like some breakfast?" Alice asks as Betty walks into the kitchen.

"We are going to stop at a cafe before school and get some breakfast there" Betty answers.

"Oh ok, be safe," Alice says.

"Don't worry mum, we will" Polly replies.

"So... tell us! How is it?" Polly asks as we sit down in the cafe.

"How is what?" I ask, confused.

"Your relationship with Sweet Pea, obviously," Betty says.

"Come on, tell us what it's like," Polly says rather excitedly.

"Well... let's just say people underestimate how Serpents can make good boyfriends."

"They would defiantly be better than Bulldogs," Betty says, teasing Polly.

"Hey!" Polly says, hitting both Betty and I.

"Well Jason is probably one of the few nice Bulldogs," I say, earning a smile from Polly.

"Speaking of Bulldogs, Reggie, Chuck, Jason and Moose are coming into this cafe," Betty says, taking a sip of her hot chocolate, and Polly smiles as Jason looks at her.

"Awe cute" I tease, earning a playful glare from Polly. Jason and the others walk over to us, and I hear Betty groan, which makes me laugh.

"Hey, ladies," Chuck says smirking and I roll my eyes.

"What's wrong? Are we not hobo enough for you?" Reggie asks, referring to Sweet Pea, and I can see it also offends Betty since Jughead is a Serpent by blood.

"Reggie" Jason says, sternly, and kisses Polly cheek.

"Just saying" Reggie replies, then he walks off with Chuck and Moose.

"Sorry about them," Jason says.

"It's fine" Betty replies.

Polly, Betty and I walk into the main hallway of the school, and Jughead walks up to us, wrapping his arm around Betty's shoulders. "Hey guys," he says.

"Hi" we all reply, then Polly walks off to go to her locker.

Jughead, Betty and I walk into the student lounge, and Archie, Kevin and Veronica are sitting in there talking. "Hey guys," Kevin says, smiling, and I wave while Betty verbally replies. The bell for the first spell goes and I groan, not wanting to be at school, Betty pulls me off the couch and practically drags me to Mathematics with her.

I immediately walk out of the classroom as soon as the bell goes, and Archie, Betty, Veronica, Kevin and Jughead follow behind me. We all walk to the front of the school and I see Alice parked in the parking lot.

"I think you've got a special someone wanting to pick you up," I say, nudging Betty, and she looks at her mum.

"Oh god" Betty mutters, then walks off after saying goodbye.

"Aren't you going with her?" Veronica asks looking my way.

I shake my head. "No, Jughead and I are hanging out."

"Oh ok, see you guys around then," she replies, grabbing Archie's hand, pretty much dragging him behind her.

Jughead and I walk into the Whyte Wyrm, the smell of nicotine and alcohol filling my nostrils. I spot Toni, Fangs and Sweet Pea standing at one of the pool tables. "Hey kiddos" FP pretty much yells, making everyone look at Jughead and I.

"So much for not being the centre of attention" I whisper to Jughead, a breathy laugh leaving his mouth.

"Yeah, so much for that", he replies and walks off leaving me to fend for myself.

Bitch.

"Who's a bitch?" Someone asks, making me jump, and I turn to see Sweet Pea standing behind me.

Did I say that out loud?

"Don't worry about it" I answer.

"Ok then," he replies slightly confused. "But if you're referring to Jughead, I'd have to agree with you." I roll my eyes and he smiles. "Anyway, how was your day?" His hand going to my waist.

"Boring."

"Maybe I can make it better," he says with a wink. I hit his chest and I walk over to the pool table, going Toni on the side.

"Wanna play pool?" Fangs asks, a welcoming smile placed upon his face.

"No thanks, I'll just watch."

"Oh come on, show us what you got" Sweet Pea teases.

"I would if I knew what I was doing," I say and all three of them look at me with furrowed brows.

"Wait, you've never played pool before?" Toni asks.

"Believe it or not... no."

"Well, we'll just have to teach you then," Sweet Pea says raising an eyebrow.

Oh, God.
