Chapter 63.

A riot starts outside the police station between the Serpents and the Northside since Fangs is being blamed for killing Midge Klump. To be honest, I don't think Fangs could hurt someone for no reason let alone murder someone.

Archie and I know that Reggie is there with a gun so we have to try and stop him before he shoots anyone, specifically Fangs. "I'll try to tackle him from behind and you stop the Serpents from going towards him by running from the side" Archie yells as we run towards the riot.

"Ok, good luck" I yell back, then run to the side of the riot. My heeled boots click on the concrete as I sprint towards everyone. I see Archie barging through the crowd of Northsiders and I start running into the side of the crowd. "Fangs! Move!" I yell as I see Reggie pull out his gun. Archie tackles Reggie just as I reach the middle and a gunshot goes off, but it's doesn't seem like it was from Reggie because Archie is covering the gun.

I don't think anyone else has a gun on them.

Screams echo through the street and everyone ducks. Dad pushes his way to the front of all of the Serpents to see if anyone got hurt and I slowly look down at my stomach. As I move my jacket to the side, I see blood flowing out my skin, staining my white shirt. I put my hand over the wound, applying pressure to try slow the bleeding and dad notices the blood on my hand and on my shirt.

"KARISMA!" He yells and everyone turns their attention to me. I start to feel lightheaded and Sweet Pea and Fangs grab my arms. My legs give out from underneath me and Fangs and Sweet Pea lay me down slowly on.

"HELP! SOMEBODY HELP!" Jughead yells, loudly, and I look at Sweet Pea, who looks like he's about to cry.

"Hey baby, you're going to be ok," Sweet Pea says as he puts his hand over the bullet wound.

"I wanna go home, I wanna go home, I wanna go-" I cry as reality of what's happening kicks in.

"Ok, just stay with me" Sweet Pea says.

"I love you" I whisper to Sweet Pea.

"I love you too, but don't talk like that, you're going to be ok," Sweet Pea says. My eyelids start to close and my vision goes blurry.

"Stay with us, Karisma" I hear Fangs say.

"We need to get her to the hospital, now," dad says, trying to sound calm but deep down we all know he really isn't.

Dad and I rush unconscious Karisma into the hospital with Sweet Pea running behind us. "What can I help you with?" The reception lady asks, not looking at us.

"My sister need a doctor now," I say and Sweet Pea stands next to me as Dad holds Karisma in his arms.

"You'll have to wait for your turn," the lady says, still paying attention to her computer screen.

"My girlfriend has been shot in the stomach! She's dying!" Sweet Pea yells as he bangs his fist on the desk, then a doctor comes out.

"What's going on?" The doctor asks.

"She's been shot in the stomach and she's losing a lot of blood" I answer, then a hospital bed comes rolling out in the reception area. Dad lays Karisma down on the bed and they quickly wheel her off into surgery. I start storming down the hallway to the front doors of the hospital with dad and Sweet Pea chasing after me.

"Hey! Where the hell are you going?" Dad asks, annoyed.

"I'm going to find who shot my sister" I answer.

"Like the hell you are. Your sister has been shot and we're staying here until we either get her back or lose her" dad says, grabbing my shoulder, and I look Sweet Pea who doesn't look happy about dads word choice. I give in and we walk to the waiting area.

Fangs and Toni rush into the waiting room and see us sitting there. "Is she alright?" Toni asks.

"I don't know, she's in surgery to get the bullet out" I answer. I look over at dad who is sitting a few chairs away from me, and he has his head in his hands.

"She saved my life, I owe her everything," Fangs says as he sits down beside Sweet Pea.

"Let's just hope everything turns out fine," Toni says then sits down next to me.
