Chapter 8.

I walk into the school cafeteria and see Betty walking towards me, she grabs my hand and drags me back into the hallway. "You need to make up with Archie," she says and I groan.

"Do you even know what Archie said?"

"Yes, Archie wouldn't shut up about you and Sweet Pea dating once he found out."

"Oh."

"Look, I'm sorry about Archie, he's being a bit rude but he genuinely feels bad about saying those things about you and Sweet Pea."

"Well, I'm not communicating with him until he apologises."

"I understand."

"Good."

I walk down the street to go to Betty's house, since I'm staying there for the night, and I see Archie coming out of his house. "Karisma, can we talk?" He asks, running up to me. I roll my eyes and continue to ignore him. He grabs my arm to stop me from walking away. "Look, I'm sorry for saying the things I did. I know they hurt you."

"Archie, I accept your apology but I'm not going to forget what you said" I reply, earning a sad nod from Archie.

"I understand... friends?"

"Friends."

I knock on the front door of the Cooper families house and I hear footsteps coming towards the door. The wooden, red door opens revealing Alice, Betty's mum. She smiles at me. "Hey, dear."

"Hi Alice" I reply smiling, and Alice tells me that Betty is in her bedroom. I walk upstairs and walk to Betty's bedroom. "Hi Betty," I say, walking into her bedroom, and she looks up from her laptop.

"Hey Karisma" she replies smiling, and she pats the spot next to her, signalling me to lay down next to her.

"I ran into Archie as I was coming here..."

"Wait really?!" She sits up quickly. "Did you guys make up?"

"Yeah."

"Thank god, the tense in the group was starting to get a bit awkward."

"Well, problem solved."

Hopefully, there will be no more drama for a while.
