Chapter 29.

I wake up covered by the bedsheets and roll over to see Sweet Pea isn't in the bed next to me. I pull the sheets off me, exposing my naked body, and get off the bed. I put on one of his shirts and put on my underwear. I walk out of the bedroom and hear noises coming from the lounge. I walk into the lounge and see Sweet Pea sitting on the couch watching tv, and he is wearing his sweatpants again. I see his eyes look me up and down and a smirk appears on Sweet Pea's face.

"Fuck, you look so cute in my clothes," he says, smiling, and I feel my cheeks heat up. "I was thinking... how about we skip school?"

I sit down next to him and he pushes a loose piece of hair behind my ear. "I would say yes but my dad wou-" I answer, getting cut off.

"Don't worry about your dad, I'll take the blame if you get in trouble" Sweet Pea says.

"Ugh fine, why do you even want to skip school?"

"Just because."

Ok, he's hiding something from me.

Sweet Pea walks me back to my trailer, but before we could say goodbye, dad opens the door and tells both of us to get inside.

"So why'd you do it? Why'd you skip school?" Dad asks and Sweet Pea and I look at each other.

"FP, it's was my fault" Sweet Pea answers.

"Sweet Pea" I mutter.

"That doesn't answer my question, boy," dad says, sternly, and Sweet Pea sighs.

"I was protecting Karisma" Sweet Pea replies, looking at dad then back to me, and I see a small smile form on dads lips.

"What were you protecting Karisma from?"

"Fangs texted me this morning telling me to keep Karisma home from school, he said that he overheard Jughead and Toni saying something about the Bulldogs going to harming Karisma" Sweet Pea answers. I entwine my fingers with Sweet Pea's and he kisses the top of my head.

"Ok, I understand, thank you for protecting my daughter," dad says and Sweet Pea nods.

"That's one of my jobs as her boyfriend, I will always protect Karisma" Sweet Pea replies, earning a smile from dad.

"I sure hope you do," dad says as he stands up from the couch. "I'm going to bed. Sweet Pea, you're welcome to stay. No funky stuff while I'm here." Then he slowly walks down the hallway to his bedroom.

"Dad," I say, embarrassed, and Sweet Pea laughs. I hear dads bedroom door close and Sweet Pea turns to me.

"So... do you want to stay?" I ask, looking up at him.

"Of course I do. I will always stay with you whenever I've got the chance" Sweet Pea answers. I smile and we start walking to my bedroom.

As I go to close my bedroom door, Jughead and Betty walk into the trailer. "You two, remember there are other people here," I say, getting there attention, and I wink at them before closing my door. I hear Sweet Pea laugh and I quickly change into a pair of shorts and a singlet. I get into my bed and Sweet Pea lays down beside me.

"I love you," Sweet Pea says before kissing my cheek.

"I love you too" I reply. I peck Sweet Pea's lips then turn off the lamp, making the room go dark. I turn over so my back is facing Sweet Pea and he wraps his arm around me as he pulls my body up against his. I feel Sweet Pea kiss my shoulder and I smile as I fall asleep.
