Your world was different than most. It was silent, your mind having to make up for the missing noise you were unable to hear. Upon seeing someone you would only imagine what they sounded like, wonder how loud their laugh was, wonder if they had a little accent or not. You were deaf, yet you could read lips and also were very skilled with sign language. One day you dream of being able to hear again and maybe you could with the advances there have been in some medical studies, but for right now, your life was mute.

Of course you still lived life fairly normal; Chisa even having a sign language interpreter join every class. No one really thought it was out of the norm, though some did look curious. Not everyone knows how you live and you were fine with that. A certain boy, Gundham Tanaka, or as you like to call him 'Hamster Whisperer' caught your eye, caught your heart, he always looks so perplexed when he watches you. You had no idea why. You tried to read his lips, but you just felt your face heat up as you took notice how soft they look. That of course made your mind wonder and not focus on his speech. 'Ugh, I'm a weirdo..'

When you tried to sign to him he looked even more confused, sometimes concerned and would mumble something you could not catch with your eyes, his face flushing before he would hide it in his scarf. Have you done something wrong? Does he think you're a weirdo? 'I mean, I'm not completely normal, but neither is he...'   When you and your classmates sit at a table for lunch and Gundham is talking quickly about something, you notice how odd some of your friends look at him. 'Why is that...?'  If only he didn't speak so fast and your mind was not so distracted by his hotness!

As others looked at him strangely, you looked at him completely stone faced, though your E/C eyes sparkled a little as this man you loved was still such a mystery to you. As he felt someone's eyes on him, he turned to you, his eyes blinking in confusion yet again as you didn't react like the others when he spoke. This now confused you. 'Why does he always do that? Is his voice like, really high pitched or something odd? I imagine his voice is quite...sexy, like he is.'  He watched you curiously, your face heating up as he observed you like some exotic beauty in a museum. You weren't certain, but you thought you spotted his pale face glowing a faint hue of pink as he watched you before quickly looking away. 'Maybe he just...doesn't like me...'

You sighed sadly. Defeated you finally decided to leave the table. Standing to your feet you left without signing anything to anyone as Akane asked you out loud where you're going, she forgets sometimes that you can't hear. As you were walking away from your friends you ended up at the library deciding to take some time to study for an upcoming test. The last thing you expected were the others still at lunch to mention you. "Is she alright?" Akane asked with a head tilt, her hands opening a bag of chips. Gundham crossed his arms as he rose a brow. "Have you not felt the extent of her witchcraft?" Akane of course looked lost as ever. "Huh?" She asked oddly as Hajime sighed as he looked at the breeder. "Gundham, you do realize that Y/N is deaf, right?"

Gundham's eyes had widened. Hajime continued getting his answer. "She sign languages to communicate, sometimes reads lips." Gundham understood now and he inwardly lectured himself for being so foolish. "I believed she was performing a banishing ritual upon me.." Gundham had muttered as he was now deep in thought, everyone else face palming. Gundham had now stood to his feet, his eyes wondering around for you. "Forgive me, I need to find the Monarch and dismiss this myth or her being a witch." With that he was gone, Akane looking at Hajimes plate which still had food on it. "You gunna' eat that?" She asked getting a sweatdrop from him as he pushed his plate over to the hungry girl.

Gundham's instincts were right to find you in the library. Though he was nervous now since he found you absolutely breathtaking, he slowly sat down across from you clearing his throat, only to instantly remember you couldn't hear him. Looking up sensing a new presence, you nearly jumped as your heart slammed into your chest. "Forgive my intrusion Y/N." He began to say, speaking a bit slower so you could read his lips better. "I was unaware that your hearing has left you, I apologize for being so foolish.." He was blushing at this point and so were you as you nodded quickly, nervously signing back that it was okay. After a bit of silence on his part, he looked right at you to speak again. "I am quite interested in you, you are not like the other mortals that attend our class. May I....May I spend some time with you Y/N?"

You almost let out a little squeak of excitement, but held it in as you nodded signing to him. "Yes Gundham, I would like that.." And so you two spent time together, the rest of the day and every day after that. You taught Gundham sign language, he was a quick learner and he finally got the nerve to ask you to be his queen, in perfect sign language. You of course responded with a shy hug as he kissed you gently on the forehead.
