*GRANT'S POV*

After school, we all meet at the movies and decide to see some scary movie called 'The Silent Room". I wanted to see Finding Dory but hey... I never get what I want.

"I'm sitting next to Grant!", Kace yells and smirks in my direction. He knows my dislike for Kyle and tries to help me when he can.

"yeah well, I'm taking the other seat next to him since I AM his boyfriend." Kyle says, crossing his arms.

"Of course you are." I say, wrapping my arm around his waist. Might as well act like I like him.

We get into he movie and take our seats; Kace didn't even sit next to me.

Him and Kobe sat at the very top doing god knows what.

I lay back in my seat when the movie is about to start and notice that Maya has her phone out; she sat on the other side of me.

She was giggling at something someone texted her and when she went to respond, I lost it.

I jumped out of the seat and ran out into the hallway.

How long has she been speaking with James? I sit at one of the benches and stare at my hands; they're shaking. I'm shaking.

I can't do this right now. I can't let him get to me, not today.

I feel a hand on my shoulder and jumped away.

"How long?", I say looking at Maya, " How long have you been talking to James?"
She fiddles with her fingers looking down at the floor. I wish she'd just hurry up and answer me.
"Well... I mean, he's been my best friend for years. I wouldn't just stop talking to him." She says and looks at me.
So she's been talking to him this whole time? She's been laughing and hearing this voice while I was begging someone to just show me a picture of him.
"Are you the only one that's been talking to him?" I look at her, shooting daggers in her direction.

"Yeah, I'm the only one Grant, I promise!" She says putting her hands up.
"Has... has he asked about me?"
"No, he hasn't Grant."
"Well why isn't he here! Why did he leave! Is he even coming back!?" I'm screaming now and I can see her flinch.
I sigh, knowing that I should be understanding right now.
"Maya, listen. I'm sorry, I just miss him so much", I put my head in my hands.
"I know, but you have a new boyfriend now. You should give him a chance to love you and maybe you'll love him back", she says, "I have to go to the restroom".
She walks away leaving me there. I didn't move from that spot until I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Grant baby", Kyle says, resting his hand on my arm, "the movie is over. Can we go now?"
"Yeah, we can go."
I get up and grab his hand. He's going to help me get over James. He's going to love me like James never did.
I pull him close to me and wrap my arm around his waist and kiss his head.
We walk out the movie theaters like this with our friends following behind us.

*James POV*
I'm standing by the restroom watching Grant fall in love with his new little thing with tears in my eyes. This is what I wanted. This is why I left; so he can move on and be the perfect boy I know he is.

So why does it hurt so damn bad?

"I know it hurts James. I'm so sorry you're going through this. You know I'm always here for you."
Maya places a hand on my shoulder and squeeze.

I bite my lip trying to hold back the tears in my eyes.
I don't know how long I can keep this up.
