four months ago
For eight straight months I had been preparing myself emotionally to finally be able to walk myself down the red carpet at the first movie screening of Camera Part 2.
Before I knew it, I was back again in Oslo, breathing in the nice spring weather of the European air. The day was Tuesday, the sun was showing its first sun rays of the day, promising it to be sunny and warm.
Even at that early in the morning, my manager Jess had been pushing me around. She woke me up at six, pushed me down the stairs in a hurry so that I could get my breakfast before seven. At eight she pulled me outside to meet companies who were interviewing me and we were back at the hotel by ten.
We didn't even rest at ten. Manager Jess wanted me to do a photoshoot, and we were out until noon.
Lunch was quick, it went by in a flash. I couldn't even remember what I had, but apparently I had one and a half servings of Norwegian reindeer meat and a hamburger - I was that hungry. It was either that or the food was that tasty.
And I was back at the hotel room, stylists surrounding me. I tried out many different outfits they had to offer - apparently, as a guest of honour, I had to make an impression.
The event was at five in the afternoon, three hours from then. During those few hours, I spent my time taking a long hot bath, masked my face, there were stylists painting my nails, making ringlets in my hair.
Everything was extravagant.
The dress - according to the staff - was simple, it's one colour and not many things went on. However, I still felt like it was too much with the accessories the stylists put on, I had to ask for them to lessen it.
At half past four, I saw myself staring at my own reflection. The dress is glowing a blush colour, made from a silk-like material but slightly stiff, making it flow down wide. It didn't have a shoulder, instead, the collar wrapped around my neck, leaving the shoulders bare. My dirty blonde hair cascaded in big ringlets down my back, half of them up in a bun, and my baby hairs pulled out to frame my face.
I guess, I liked how I looked. It was clearly shown on my face.
Manager Jess and I sat in our car in silence. I started to get reminded of the good old days where we filmed the scenes for Camera. We passed the park where we filmed the scene where Martinus and I met for the first time, we passed the hotel I stayed at, we passed the Spektrum. There were so many things I had a flashback on, it was impossible to count them one by one.
The movie theatre was the same exact one used for the premiere of Camera. Nostalgic feelings came back to me once again, and I found myself smiling at the sight of two boys climbing out of the car in front of us.
It's been so long.
Soon, it was our turn. Once the door was opened, I brought up the biggest smile I could do and confidently stepped out of the car, paparazzi cameras flashing at my arrival.
It's still something to get used to, but the same exhilarating feeling rushed through me, making me forget about the nervousness I had not too long ago.
There were people screaming my name as if I never left Camera, as if I was still part of the family.
The familiar looking boys heard my name, making them turn around.
And soon, we were engulfed in a group hug, our laughter filling the air.
I take a good look at both of them. The excitement in their eyes are still the same - even more burning if it's possible, the cheekiness of their giggles still sound the same.
Marcus' hair had grown longer. His bun needed to be tied twice for it to be secure. He had also gotten taller, beating my height by several centimetres.
The biggest difference that shocked me most was when I looked into Martinus' eyes.
I no longer felt my blood rushing to my cheeks, my pulse stayed the same. I felt nothing.
And that's when I finally realised that it's over, I've gotten over my own rollercoaster ride. They're both officially like my brothers.
