one month ago

It's been two weeks into the one month production show. Time was going as slow as ever, but I managed to somehow push through and face every day with a smile.

Everyday, we'd go do new activities outside. That particular day, we went out to a small family farm to help out. They needed some people to lend them a hand for feeding their cows apparently while the family - who also owned a camping site - had to take care of a school group that came on that day.

Farming was something exciting, I've never done it before. So, I headed out with the brightest grin I could do and walked with excitement next to Artemis and a stylist - Jessica. All those time, I found that Isla was looking at me strangely.

"Oh my God, oh my God!" Artemis squealed upon seeing a small trailer behind Matt - the farm owner - 's ute, "are we going to go on that?"

She pointed to it while jumping up and down. Everybody looked at her strangely, but she didn't care.

"Yes, in fact," Matt told us and Artemis gave a squeal of approval.

"Welcome to Happy Valley," Matt told us once we settled in front of him. "I hope you guys are doing good today."

"We are starting off with feeding the cows," Matt told us and Artemis let out another squeal, making the man laugh, "at least I know one person is excited!"

All of us let a nervous chuckle as Matt continued on. Once he's done, he instructed us to jump into the trailer and get ready for a ride.

Of course, Artemis was the first who jumped on it. She was barely containing her excitement as she placed her hands on the edge of the trailer.

"This is going to be so fun!" she cried, she then turned to the cameraman who just got up. "This is so exciting, isn't it?"

The cameraman behind the recording device nodded along with her in agreement, trying to hold his laughter.

We all hopped on and wow the ride was wild.

We didn't drive on roads - instead, Matt whizzed us on the grass where all the bumps are and we were sent flying.

There were laughter and smiles, we were all enjoying it. Even Isla and I made eye contact and for once, she didn't look as if she's more than happy to wipe me out.

Matt stopped in the middle of a clearing. A clearing full of cows - I nearly busted out a squeal of cuteness. I mean, who doesn't love cows?

"Now, before you go any further," Matt started, "a few heads up. There are a lot of poo. A lot. So watch your step. Secondly, don't stand behind the cows, you can get kicked. Third, don't shove grass into their face, okay? It's a bit rude."

We all laughed.

Matt allowed us to take the grass from the back of the ute and let us free to roam around.

"This is fun!" I heard a familiar voice and soon, Isla stepped next to me. "Have you fed cows before?" she asked me and I thought that maybe, maybe now we're friends.

"No," I answered with a smile, "how about you?"

"I have actually," she laughed, "my gran's best friend owns a farm, so we visit them often."

I nodded and we started to feed the cows.

In the middle of feeding them however, this cow started to get annoyed at Isla and I. We backed away from it as it turned around and started to walk away.

I don't know if it's just my fate to be on the bad side of luck that day, because the next thing I knew, the cow flicked its tail and its remaining poop on the tail flew right at me.

It was only a small amount, maybe a small spot or two but I could taste the horrible taste on my lips.

I felt like crying.

What's more, the cameraman had run up to me, filming every single moment of the accident. Of course, I had to cover my disappointment with a laugh as I wipe the poo off with grass I had left in my hands.

Deep inside, however I was breaking. This was caught on camera, how am I going to live with the embarrassment?

My heart crushed even more when Isla did nothing to help. Instead, she was snickering and walked off to feed another cow elsewhere.

I guess we're not friends.
