Chapter 10: Cold War

3rd person's POV

The weekend passed by quickly and the six guys were finally back to their own apartments. Yo had been awkwardly quiet and Kit and Beam were even ignored quite a few times. Pha and Ming too were ignored by Forth who has become moody and grumpy. The two holed up in their rooms for the rest of the day.

Monday came and Yo and Nate went to the practice hall together. Suthee happily greeted them and Yo noticed that Nate was blushing again. He smiled at the scene but it soon disappeared when Forth has entered the room and sat on one of the chairs that was directly in front of them.

They soon started practicing their dance routine. It was quite okay for the first half but when the second half came, two students made a mistake and Forth immediately asked them to start from the beginning. It happened again on the same half and Forth made them do it again.

He coldly made them do it from the start every time someone makes a mistake. Everyone was getting tired and they are actually starting to get scared at Forth as well. They all feel like they are being hazed by the current engineering head hazer.

When Ming noticed the situation, he immediately called for a break. Forth was scowling at him for interfering but Ming bravely told him how harsh he was acting towards the kids. Yo was beginning to hate Forth more. He knows he was being unreasonable and for whatever reasons that has caused him to act like it, he hoped Forth was mature enough to handle it, not putting the rage on everyone.

Pha decided to talk to Forth about what had happened but he coldly brushed him off. Even when Beam himself finally decided to talk to him, he had ignored him. Everyone was surprised with how Forth was acting. From what they know, he was still okay last week. He had only began to change when he came back from the weekend trip.

Kit has suspected that there must have something to do with what he saw that day at the hotel. Both his best friend and his senior is acting weird and they are being cold to a lot of people. He has never seen the two of them talk nor approach each other as well, which is quite peculiar.

Forth and Yo continued to ignore each other while the people around them started to get affected. While the other representatives think it's quite normal for them to ignore one another, Nate and the other guys knew better.

Once during a break, Suthee, Nate, and Yo were out in the veranda enjoying the breeze as they catch up with their day when Forth has stormed into them asking them to pay attention of the time. He had barked on them for minutes until Ming and Pha dragged him away.

Nate was close to tears for being surprised at how Forth just yelled at them. Suthee was lost and dumbfounded while Yo was beyond furious. Ming had to actually ban Forth from coming to the practice hall and asked one of his seniors, Lam, to come and pick Forth up. Ming had explained the situation to Lam and he was very disappointed at Forth.

Forth himself was losing control of his mind. He's being stressed at being the head hazer in his faculty, and a judge and a supervisor for the moon and star competition. If that were only his problem, he was sure he could still manage it. However, a certain moon keeps on bugging his mind and every time he sees him, he just loses his mind.

Yo was quite unaffected at Forth's coldness most of the times. But when he unleashes his rage on them, his blood would boil and he would seethe in anger. When Forth had barged into them and shouted his head off, Yo was super furious. He couldn't understand why Forth had suddenly gotten mad with them when they haven't done anything wrong.

On the other hand, Beam and Ming were also wondering curiously and is surprised at how Forth has been acting. He wasn't prone to losing his temper that easily and to anybody but after watching him for a few day biting people's head off, they knew they had to do something. When they saw the scene when Forth has shouted at Yo and his friends, Ming had decided he had enough of Forth.

As the campus moon, he finally stepped up to the role to discipline Forth, even though he was his senior. He knew it wasn't right that he scolded his senior but Forth was getting overboard. He had to be controlled and to be punished for his brash actions.

Forth was the forbidden by Ming to attend the practices and had told Lam about it to help him control Forth. Lam had gladly complied, knowing that there must have been something going on for Forth. Forth then decided to put his frustrations on hazing the engineering freshmen. At least to others, there's nothing wrong with what he's doing because that is their tradition.

Yo and Forth's cold war continued as the days passed. When Kit saw how it had largely affected others, he finally confessed to Beam. Beam listened to Kit as he narrated what had happened and his suspicions on why Yo and Forth had been acting strange. Beam didn't say anything except for thanking Kit about the information.

He then decide to invite them all out for a drink. Partly because it is also his birthday and that he wanted to spend it together with them. Beam just didn't know that things are going to change soon after with that single night of partying.

I'm sorry for how boring this chapter might have turned into. This is just a filler for what is about to happen and I hope you would be patient enough to wait for the exciting parts to come. Please don't hate Forth and Yo for fighting like this...they each have a story to tell so please be patient and wait for them/
