Kit's POV

It's been a week since that day. And I haven't got a decent sleep ever since. I kept having nightmares. One is about us being chased by whatever that was back in the woods. Two, it's about his confession. We still haven't talked about it since we came back and it's gnawing at me.

For the nth time today, I released another sigh. I feel exhausted with all the things that are happening around me. Coming back from that day, I got told that my brother is finally together with P'Beam. Hours later, my best friend comes home and announces the same sentiment that he now is also together with the man he claimed to hate. Ugh! Just because they're all official now doesn't mean they get to rub it in my face! Haven't they got some conscience that I'm still single? If it weren't for me, all of them wouldn't be together now. Ungrateful bastards.

I felt someone sit beside me and I didn't bother to look. I could recognize who it is just by his scent.

"Hello N'Kit." he greeted as he leaned his face in front of me.

I backed away, glaring at him.

"What do you want, Pha." I grumbled as I shoved his face away.

He frowned at me. "Aren't you going to call me P'Pha like last time?"

I looked away from him. Why does he have to remember that?

"Well, if you don't want to it's alright." he muttered reluctantly. "At least you're talking to me."

I looked back at him curiously. He was eyeing his drink as he played with his straw sullenly. The four people in front of us doesn't seem to notice the mood around the two of us and I'm dying to whack them all in the head to get their senses back. They're all enamored with one another that they don't care about their surroundings anymore. It's kinda insulting.

"Hey N'Kit, can we go talk somewhere?" Pha suddenly asked.

He was looking at me with hopeful eyes. He just wanted to talk, right?

"Fine." I muttered. "I need to get away from these people too."

He chuckled at that and he stood up. I followed suit and soon enough, we were walking away from our table. We left the others whom I think wouldn't even notice our absence at all.

I followed him to the parking lot and to his car.

"Are we going somewhere?" I asked.

"I'm kinda hungry. I want to go out and eat." he replied. "Aren't you hungry?"

As if on cue, my stomach rumbled. I crossed my arms above them and blushed in embarrassment. He chuckled but didn't say a word. We got into the car and he soon drove off. He took us to a korean restaurant and asked the receptionist to sit us in a private room. I complained about it but he didn't listen.

A waiter handed us some menus as soon as we were seated. Pha told me to order what I wanted. Everything in the menu looks tempting and I began to salivate.  I couldn't choose between some of them and Pha made it easier for me by ordering everything. I wanted to protest but he just gave me a warm smile and told me not to think much about everything and just enjoy the meal.

While we wait, I began to wonder why he brought us here.

"We could have gotten a regular table outside, you know." I told him as I serve him a cup of tea a waiter has brought in.
