Forth was unable to stop himself from staring at the boy in front of him. He had grown up since the last time he had seen him and his beautiful features has become more prominent than before. Yo's face looked clear and smooth, his rounded eyes and curled lashes that looks like it belongs to a girl fluttered with the wind. His sharp nose was perfect, and his lips...oh his lips. They look so succulent and Forth had the urge to rub his thumb on them to feel how soft and plump they are. The creature in front of him is clearly breathtaking.
Unfortunately, that same creature is staring back at him hard with his eyes pointed at him, cold as ice. His voice was even cold when he had replied with a clipped tone. What had he done? He's just offering his help here?
"Nong Yo." he called out to him.
"Hello P'Forth. We meet again." Yo replied with his still cold tone.
"Uhh, where's your room? I'll help you out." Forth offered once more as he reached out towards the box Yo was holding.
Yo took a step back and shook his head instead. "I'm fine, P. I can manage."
Forth looked at him worriedly. He's actually wondering why Yo is acting so cold and distant with him when almost a year ago, his eyes would be looking at him with adoration and warmth. What had happened to this kid?
"I should get going." Yo muttered as he side stepped Forth and walked towards the stairs.
Forth couldn't say another word and he was rooted on his spot, silently watching the struggling kid. He had no choice when Yo insisted that he could manage on his own even though it was evident enough that he couldn't. Forth was just processing in his thoughts how a year could change someone like Yo. He used to be sweet and kind to him. What just happened back then?
When Yo finally disappeared from his sight, he too left the lobby and walked towards his bike. He's going to meet up with his cousin who just came back from the States. He got on his bike and drove away, forgetting about Yo at the moment.
Meanwhile, after a troubling and tiring effort, Yo has finally reached his room. He took his key from his pocket and slot it in on the knob and opened the door. He marched inside and dumped his stuff on the floor before plopping himself unceremoniously on the couch. He let out an exhausted sigh as he steadied his breathing.
The sound of a turning knob made him look at the doors in front of him. The door on his left opened, revealing a half-asleep Beam.
"Oh hey, you're here." he greeted sleepily.
Yo was staring at him with his mouth hanging open.
"You're here!?" he exclaimed in disbelief.
Did he just climbed the stairs on his own while carrying all his stuff? Just because he thought Beam's still in class? Did he just talked to Forth downstairs and almost...almost!...accepted his offer because he thought Beam was busy? Is he actually looking at Beam right now who just seemed to have gotten the best sleep of his life? The answer is yes, yes and YES!
"Where do you think should I be?" Beam asked as he walked to the table and poured himself a glass of water.
"I..I thought...aren't you supposed to be in class right now?" Yo stammered confusedly.
Beam shot him a puzzled look. "Why should I be in class on a Sunday?"
It's Sunday?! Yo looked at his watch and sure enough, it indicated Sunday. What the fuck? Why did I forget what today is? I feel so stupid right now, he thought.
"Did you actually forget what today is?" Beam asked after finishing his glass. He refilled it again and he took it to Yo who looks like he needs it.
