Chapter 45: Unexpected situation

Yo's POV

Pregnant.

That's an unexpected word that I would hear from my medical result.

I stared at the paper in my hand, my eyes focusing on the tiny dark blob that indicates a living thing that is growing inside of me. Me, a guy, and a teen at that, is going to have a baby. Everything is still unbelievable.

The door opens and P'Beam enters the room. I'm back in my own room now and I have been discharged by my doctor and Dr. Kongthanin. It turns out that Dr. Kongthanin is not really my doctor but he was the one who received me in the emergency room. He found me the best obstetrician and he was with us until I got discharged.

He looks like a scary man with his intimidating looks but he was more than kind and caring towards me. It's probably the reason why I didn't really felt that much scared when he finally told us about my pregnancy. He also told us about my condition, why I am now experiencing such thing, and what else I would soon be expecting. P'Forth and I were glad he was there to help us even though he wasn't really my attending physician.

P'Beam approaches my bed and sits at the edge. I gave him space so that he can scoot in closer to me and when he had finally settled himself in, it was only then that I cried again. He envelopes me in his arms and I could feel him shaking too. I felt a hot liquid drip on my nape and I knew he's also crying.

When we have both calmed down, he just hugged me in silence. He's staring at the photo of my ultrasound with curious and amazed eyes.

"How are you feeling?" he asks me without looking.

I sighed at him.

"At a loss." I honestly admitted. "I'm scared, confused...but I'm also happy."

"And P'Forth?"

"I'm sure he feels the same." I replied with a shrug.

"When are you planning to tell mom and dad?" he asked me seriously.

"I don't really know yet." I muttered sullenly.

P'Beam gently rubs my back for comfort and I let him.

"Don't worry Yo, I'll be here for you." he tells me softly. "I'm sure everyone else will be."

I gave him a small smile before I leaned my head on his shoulder. A knock on the door made us both turn to it. It creaked open and P'Forth peeked in.

"Dinner's ready." he says and we both just nodded at him.

P'Forth left the door open and P'Beam stood up. He lends me a hand before we both walk out of the room. P'Ming was setting the table while P'Forth was finishing up in the kitchen. P'Ming smiled at me when he saw me and even ushered me to my seat. P'Beam sat beside me while P'Ming sat on his other side.

P'Forth came with the dishes and started plating me my meal as soon as he set them down on the table. I insisted to do it myself but he ignored it, telling me to just sit back and do nothing instead. I complained to him babying me but he still wouldn't let me do anything. At least he allowed me to eat by myself. I'd beat him up if he didn't. I'm not an invalid you know, just pregnant. And I'm not even showing yet!
