Yo's POV

After dinner, P'Beam and I went back home. We didn't talk on the way as my mind was still processing on the events that had happened and the bomb my brother just drop on us. When we finally stepped inside the room, I ended the silence.

"Were you serious?" I asked as I plopped myself on the couch while he grabbed a glass of water.

"About what?" he asked, innocently.

"You know what I'm talking about P'Beam." I said. "Why the heck did you agree to that?"

He finished drinking his water and filled the glass again before coming over to me and handed it. I emptied the glass, hoping to calm my nerves but I couldn't as I really wanted to know what was going on inside my brother's brain for agreeing.

"Well he seriously asked for it...so I gave him." P'Beam replied.

"Why?" I asked frustratedly. "You're letting your ex court me?"

"It's all in the past and he seems to be serious about you." he replied.

I scoffed at him. Is he really serious? I thought he would help me block P'Forth. But he actually handed me over instead?! Why do I feel so betrayed?

"Serious, my ass. Everything's just a game!" I exclaimed exasperatedly.

P'Beam eyed me with contemplation.

"Why do you hate P'Forth so much? I already forgave him for what happened between us and moved on but how could you still hate him? It's not like he'd done something towards you." he said.

I gaped at him. Not only is he sounding like he's scolding me, he actually uttered the same words P'Forth told me back when we had the damn talk. Are you kidding me?!

"You know, there's nothing wrong if P'Forth will court you or if you make him your boyfriend." P'Beam told me. "He's actually a nice person and what happened between us in the past was just a misunderstanding."

"Misunderstanding?"

"If you're still blaming him for our breakup, let it go. It's not entirely his fault."

"What do you mean?"

"He didn't cheat on me, Yo. He loved me and respected me so much not to do that." P'Beam explained. "Sure he might have told me he had fallen for someone else but that doesn't mean he was actually cheating on me physically."

Hmm...P'Forth said the same thing. So, all this time I've been thinking stupid? I jumped to my own conclusions, did I?

It's good that you know, my conscience says.

"Then what exactly happened?" I asked.

"He told me he had fallen in love with someone else. In order not to hurt me, he chose to breakup with me." he said. "You already know this."

"Yes, but why are you repeating it?" I asked.

"The thing is, I haven't told you all of it." he explained. I just looked at him, urging him to continue and he did. "Of course I bawled my eyes out when he told me that and then I told you all about it. It was a couple of months later when we decided to talk things out between us since our breakup didn't actually end that well."
