Chapter 9: A trip to the Beach II

3rd person POV

The trip was scheduled for the weekend. The students were excited to go to the beach. The weather is perfect, clear blue sky with gentle breeze. All of the representatives and staff gathered in front of the buses that are parked on the school grounds. A couple of staffs were tasked to check the attendance of everyone who is going as well as to assign them on their rides.

Yo came on time with his brother. They parked not far from the buses and went to get their attendance checked. Since they are driving on their own, they didn't need to be assigned seats on the bus. 

Ming and Kit came afterwards, also having their attendance checked. Pha was with them and Yo was surprised he decided to join. He could see Kit's scowl on his face as he approached them and he immediately laughed.

"I hate you." Kit grumbled at him when he got close. Yo laughed at him louder.

"I love you too." he cheekily replied.

"Oits! Public displays are not allowed in front of me." Ming told them as he slung an arm on Beam's shoulders.

Yo and Kit both scowled at him.

"You should tell that to yourself!" the two exclaimed in unison, making Ming gasped.

"Since when have you guys started syncing together?" he asked them. He turned to Beam and asked. "Are they twins?"

Beam rolled his eyes at him and removed the arm on his shoulder. Pha had joined them as well and they are ready to leave.

"P'Beam, can I join you in your car?" Kit asked. Obviously, he's trying to get away from Pha.

"Sure nong Kit, hop in." Beam replied with a smile.

Kit and Yo boarded the car while Beam still stayed outside. He was talking to his friends when he asked them a question.

"What happened to P'Forth?"

"Oh, P'Forth has hazing to do. He can't join the trip." Ming replied.

"Really? I thought he would be watching the kids twenty-four/seven?" Beam asked.

Ming laughed. "I'm here now. I could do that too you know."

"And I'm here to help as well, so no need to worry Beam." Pha added.

Yo was relieved of what he had heard. He could freely enjoy hanging around in the beach without a watch dog following on his trail. Beam soon got in and pulled away from the parking lot. Minutes later, they are on their way to the beach already.

They arrived at the hotel just before lunch. They were asked to wait for the others so Kit and Yo decided to go to the beach and enjoy the view. Ming, Beam and Pha opted to stay to wait for the others.

Thirty minutes later, the rest of the students and staff finally came. Yo and Kit were back and had joined their brothers in the lobby. Yo joined Nate as they were all briefed of their activities for the rest of the day. They were also given their room keys and the list of who they are going to room with.

Since Yo knows he would be rooming with Kit, he decided to skip checking the list and just told Kit to follow him to their room. It didn't occur to him that another person might be joining them. Their brothers never told them who it was so they just assumed there's no one sharing the room with them.

The two guys plopped themselves on the bed when they finally arrived at their room. The room has two queen beds and they were both happy to claim it. After settling down, they joined their brothers for lunch. They all met at the restaurant within the hotel and ordered their food. All of them enjoyed their meal and were happy of the service.
