~ I've learned to assume good intentions before bad ones, not because I'm naive, but because I'd rather assume good and be wrong than assume bad and be wrong.~
-Najwa Zebian-Next Morning-
I wake up to the sound of my alarm blaring in my ear. I smack it, and yawn.
I sat up to stretch, and then I lied back down again. As if my mom could read my mind she barged into my room and pulled off my covers.
I groaned and got up. I rushed off into a shower after mumbling a 'morning' to her.
I came out with a towel around my hair and a robe.
I quickly blew dry my hair and put it in a braid. I then slipped on my school unfirom. Before I grabbed my things I glanced at myself in the mirror.
This is a new me.
I grabbed my school bag and my phone and dashed out of my room.
My dad made me breakfast and my mom gave me my lunch. I glanced at them, "You guys know you don't have to do these things. Right?" They nodded.
I glanced outside and furrowed my eyebrows. "Why do you never put the car into the garage? It stands outside all the time?" My parents looked at each other.
My mother looked amused. "You should tell her." My dad nodded. I furrowed my eyebrows, "Tell me what?" My dad smiled, "Well I'm not taking you to school today." I furrowed my eyebrows, "Well then whose going to take me?"
My mom grinned, "I am in your new car that you will be driving once you get your license." I stared at the two of them. Then it kicked in.
"OH MY GOSH!! YOU GOT ME A CAR!!??" I then ran into the garage.
My dad smiled,"Suprise!" I stood infront of my car amazed. He got me the newest white BMW.
My mom chuckled, "Well technically you've earned it. I mean you work so hard, despite all your challenges. Plus you've gotten top in your school for years now and you worked your butt off to get this scholarship. But yeah I'm driving your car for now."
I teared up and hugged them. I sniffled, "He would've been so proud." My mom teared up, "Yeah, he would have." My dad squeezed my shoulder and kissed my cheek. "His watching over us Millie." I nodded.
I chuckled and wiped my tears. "Ahh, guys today is the first day of a new school."
How am I feeling about it? I don't know. A bit nervous and excited.
My mom and I decided to stop and grab coffee. After that we headed to Valley View High School.
As soon as we got there I was in awe. This school was beautiful. It looked really huge.
Not going to lie, the kids look extremely intimidating. I guess it's nothing that I need to worry about.
Now our biggest current struggle. Parking.
