MILEA'S POV
Today school was a drag. As soon as I arrived at home I collapsed on to my bed.
I then did my homework and ate lunch.
-Later-
I threw on my sweats and decided to head to the hill. I left a note on the counter for my parents.
AIDEN'S POV
My mind kept wondering back to Milea. I really miss her and I wonder how she's doing.
I haven't contacted any of the guys since what went down at Liam's house.
I threw on my sweats and headed to the hill. I need to clear my head.
As soon as I got there, I saw a beautiful brunette.
Milea.
I smile as my mind replays all the good memories that we have here. It sort of feels like dejavù.
The first time I saw her here, she was crying and now I see her here again. This time she's staring out at the view.
She was so consumed by her own thoughts that she didn't notice my presence next to her.
When she did notice me she jumped. She held her hands over her chest as I chuckled. "Aiden, you scared me." I smiled. "Sorry." She sighed.
MILEA'S POV
We stare at the view in front of us. We sat in silence but this time, there was tension.
He glanced at me, "Milea. I'm really sorry for being such an abrupt idiot. I should've just let you tell me when you were ready."
I took a moment. "Yeah, you should've." He nods. I smile at him and kiss his cheek. "Well, guess I might as well put the pieces together for you."He remains silent. I take it as my que to proceed. "Well, back at home Levi and I were together. We were together for five years. When Matthew was seventeen years old, he got sick. He was diagnosed with leukaemia," I started tearing up.
I then started taking deep breaths, unfortunately my breathing was shakey.
Aiden pulled me close to him and he stroked my hair. He then whispered in my ear, "You know, you don't have to be strong all the time. You can break down, especially in front of me. I promise I'll always be here to hold you."
Wow, that escalated far quicker than I'd thought.
I smiled and thanked him. I then took a deep breath and proceeded. "As soon as they'd diagnosed him my entire world fell apart. I mean he hardly got sick and he was honestly the healthiest, fittest person that I knew. Anyway, we then had so many treatments going, but he just got worse. Literally everyday I had to watch him die a little more. Whenever I couldn't deal with what was happening at home I'd always go to my bestfriend Sarah's house. My family loved her, she was like my second sister and what was happening to Matt hurt her just as much as it hurt me. Her parents were hardly home as they travelled a lot for work and then one day I went over to her house. I had a spare key because her parents wanted me to check up on her. So the day I went to her house I caught her and Levi making out on the couch. I was paralyzed in my position that when they broke apart I was still standing there. You know what annoyed me the most, the fact that they both tried to justify their actions. Sarah thought it was time I'd know what was going on. So she told me straight, her and Levi have been together for a year. So technically Levi and I were only together for four years. I ran home crying. My parents were literally broken when I told them the news. We then had to go to the hospital for Matthew. When I told him the news he was so mad. He patted a spot on his bed next to him and he held me and just told me that I'm the strongest girl he knows. I deserve so much better than Levi. From then on my parents always reminded me that I am strong and brave. A week later, Matthew was on his last. The last thing he said to me was that he loves me and that he'll always be with me. Little did I know that he's been writing me letters. He put all of these things in a box. He told my parents that his last wishes were for me to open that box when I was ready. He then passed away at 00:01 on his eighteenth birthday. Then two years later we moved here. So here I am."
By now I was crying, Aiden's sweatshirt was drenched in my tears. He kissed my forehead. I held him closer to me. For once I actually feel relieved and a heavy weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
He smiled at me, "I'm so proud of you Milea. You are the strongest, and most beautiful girl I know. Your beauty is not only on the outside, but on the inside as well. Matthew is really proud of you and he is definatly watching over you."
