~Isn't it lovely, all alone? Heart made of glass; my mind of stone. Tear me to pieces, skin to bone. Hello, welcome home.~

AIDEN'S POV
My head's pounding. I decide to lie down on my bed. I then drifted off into a deep sleep.
~Dream~
I arrived home from school and was met with the smell of alcohol.
Dad's drunk again, I quickly rush to my room and put down my bags. I then come out to the staircase and sit down.
I always sit here just to make sure that he doesn't hurt mom. When his drunk he verbally or sometimes physically abuses my mom.
I guess she's relieved that he doesn't lay a hand on me or Emily.
Luckily Emily was still at school. I was busy with exams, so I came home earlier.
One of the reasons my friends and I won't ever drink alacahol is because of what happens to my dad.
He slurred his words as my mother was preparing his lunch. "I could've done so much better. But here I am stuck with you Layla."
She teared up and nodded. She then placed his plate down on the table and he then pushed it off.
Which startled my mom and I. She gasped. "Let me get that for you." She quickly picked up the pieces of glass and he stared at her.
He got agitated at my mom for no reason and he pushed her. I got up from my place. He then kicked her and hit her.
That's when I ran downstairs. My mom was crying and she stared at me. They didn't even know I was home.
I glared at him, "Leave her alone!" He turned his gaze to me. My mom was shocked as she didn't know I had come home.
He smirked at me, "Move Aiden." I stood in front of my mom, trying my best to defend her.
He then got annoyed with me and threw a punch at me. My anger was boiling to much for me to care and I then threw a punch back.
He was taken by suprise, to be honest, so was I.
He was about to throw another punch at me but then-
(A/N: You can read from below this note.)
I wake up. I'm drenched in sweat. I can recall that day. I hate that day.
I reach out for my phone and call the first person my mind jumped to.
MILEA'S POV
My phone starts ringing. I groan and check the time. It's 02:56 on a Friday morning.
I check the caller ID.
Aiden.
My heart skips a beat and I immediately pick up. I hope nothing's wrong.
"Hello." "Aiden, oh my gosh are you okay?" He sighed, "No, I just need to hear your voice. It calms me."
Well then..
"Oh okay, well firstly what happened?" The line was silent for a bit. Then he sighed, "I had a nightmare about a day in my past." I remained silent.
Gathering my thoughts together. "Was it about your dad?" He remained silent. "Yeah." "I'm sorry Aiden, I really wish I could help you. I honestly feel so helpless right now."
"Milea, you're helping me more than you'll ever know. Thank you."
I didn't know what to say. But I felt touched. My heart was warm and happy.
"Well your very strong Aiden." He chuckled, "Thanks, I guess."
I'm sorry, taking this to a less serious note. His morning voice though. Like what even. It sounds amazing. It's hoarse and groggy, I'm loving it right now. Anyway, just thought I'd put that out there.
Here we sat in a comfortable silence.
"Aiden, you still there?"
I waited for a bit. Then I smiled at myself when I heard soft snores coming from the otherside of the phone.
Aiden's fast asleep.
I end the call and drift off into another sleep.
-At School-
School dragged itself out today. The gang decided to go out for lunch today, last minute.
We decided to all quickly change and then meet at Luigis.
Once we arrived the guys were already there. What I've seemed to notice is Ava and Liam.
I made a mental note to talk to her about it. But gosh, I really hope they get together.
I catch Aiden staring at me, I smile at him. He smiles back. I tried to read him, but his to difficult for me to analyse him.
I think I've figured him out and then he gives me mixed signals again.
I guess if he wants to tell me he would. Afterall after last night, I think we've taken a huge step into our friendship.
