~She does not know what the future holds, but she is grateful for slow, steady growth~
-Morgan Harper Cole

         MILEA'S POV

I am currently brushing out Mia's hair. Mia is my five year old daughter. It's our mommy and daughter day.

-When we returned home-

I folded my arms when I saw how much of a mess the house was. I then see my husband and my son playing Xbox.

Mia plops herself down beside her dad who immediately sat her on his lap.

He kissed her cheek, "How was your outing Angel?" She smiled, "Good, mommy ate all your cake." He pouted as I rolled my eyes.

I then kissed my four year old son Matthew on the cheek before running upstairs into my room.

My husband walks inside and he pouted, "Babe. Howcome Matty got a kiss and I didn't." I roll my eyes. "Aiden, the house was clean this morning when Mia and I left. Now when I return it's all messed up. I'm sick and tired of being the slave in this house. I'm tired of cleaning up after you three."

He paused for a second. "Mrs Grey." I ignored him. The next thing I know, I'm getting dipped and kissed.

We then heard a knock on the door. Aiden and I quickly pulled ourselves together. I then ran and opened the door.

It's Matthew, I smile and pick him up. He chuckles as I kiss his cheeks. We then hear heavy footsteps marching away from our room.

Aiden then sees Mia walk into her room.

        AIDEN'S POV

Mia is sitting on her bed pouting. I kiss her cheek and give her the love, attention and affection that she wants.

She then fell asleep.

         MILEA'S POV

Both kids are asleep and Aiden and I are crashed on the couch. I'm wrapped up in his arms like old times.

I scroll through instagram and I then stumble across Ava's instagram. I smile when I see that she posted a photograph of our prom.

Ava and Liam are not together anymore. They both married to other people.

Liam is a father of three beautiful girls. Ava is happily married and doesn't have any kids, well as far as I know. Unfortunately, we do not keep in contact with any of them anymore.

Bell and Connor are also happily married. They have a son and a dauhgter, Cade and Anna. Mia and Matthew enjoy playing with them. We are still in contact and are still very close friends.

Hailey and Levi are also not together anymore. Hailey is single, but she's a very famous fashion designer. As for Levi, he was recently engaged. Unfortunately, we also don't keep in conatct anymore.

Aiden and I have been happily married for seven years now. We currently live in New York and as you know, have two beautiful kids.

I then remembered something.

I quickly rush upstairs to my room and pull out Matthew's box from under the bed. I rummage through it and stumble across the final letter. I then run downstairs and hand it to Aiden. He furrowed his eyebrows, I kiss his cheek. "Matthew wants to meet you." He smiles.

I then hear Mia call for me.

         AIDEN'S POV

I open the letter slowly.

Dear the person my sister loves

The fact that she's given you this letter means that she really loves you.

I know that I won't be around for to long and that I won't be able to see that these two things are done for her. So the next best person would be you.

Here's the two promises that I want me and you to have.

1) Love Milea
I want you to love her with all your heart. I know she's not always the easiest person but just keep loving her, regardless of all her flaws.

2) Make me some beautiful nieces and nephews.
Okay, yeah that's self-explanatory

I'm letting you have my most prized possession. I would've really loved to meet you in person, this is the closest that I can get to you but this letter has given me some sort of peace.

I am always with you and your family, I'm watching over you guys.

Much love from your brother in law
-Matthew

I sit and digest the words on the paper. I feel so honoured. I rush upstairs and hug Milea.

She smiled, "And?" I chuckle, "Thank you." She kissed my cheek. Just then Mia joined our hug.

         MILEA'S POV

The three of them might drive me insane. But they're the best things that have ever happened to me.

I cannot express how grateful I am for Aiden,Mia and Matthew.

I smile as I remember my brother's words.

There's beauty in everything. Always look for the light in the darkness.
There's always beauty from ashes.

I've definatly seen the beauty from the ashes. There's more to this life than what meets the eye.

All it takes, is for you to look.
