~Never judge a rose for her petals, she may still be blooming~
-Bridgette DevoueAIDEN'S POV
I see Milea making her way to me. What is she doing? Is she dancing? I couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of her.
Aiden look away, you do not want to embarrass her even more when she catches you staring.
She stands next to me, I stand dead still. I'm currently observing the crowd and inhaling Milea's scent.
She smells amazing, and of coconut I might add. I love the smell. She stares at her feet, is she nervous?
"I'm sorry about Hailey. I mean know how you feel. I've been there." She has? I averted my gaze to her. I take in all her features. I then ran my hand through my hair, "Thanks I guess." She nodded.
Not going to lie, but Hailey did mean a lot to me. I mean I'm defiantly not going to forget about her overnight. But I can guarantee you one thing, it's that I'm not going back to her. "How long did it take you to heal?"
She didn't expect me to ask that, well to be honest neither did I.
She took a moment, as if to debate whether or not her answer would hurt me. I saw the conflict she had with her head in her eyes.
"Honestly, a very long time." I nod. "Well I don't want to talk about my ex. How you finding Valley View?" I glanced at her, "It's good. I like it." I nodded.
I debated whether or not I should ask the following question.
"When you made your way over to me, where you dancing?"
She furrowed her eyebrows and stared at me. Embarrassment evident on her face.
"What? No." She said to defend herself. I burst out laughing, "Oh, okay good. Because you were like turning and walking then stopping."
She blushed and scrunched up her face, "Sorry about that." I smiled, "It's cool." She nodded. She then excused herself.
She's actually not as bad as I thought. In fact, she's actaully a really nice person.
Later I saw how she was dancing with the girls. Connor,Liam,Levi and I had a good laugh at them. Levi quickly excused himself to go to the bathroom.
Milea quickly went upstairs as well. I wasn't watching her or anything. I felt my pockets in search for my phone. I glanced at Liam, "Where's my phone?" "In my room."
I nodd and go upstairs. I then see Levi and Milea talking.
MILEA'S POV
When I walked out the bathroom I saw Levi standing by the full length mirror in the passage.
I decided to go over to him. He sees me in the mirror. We both took a second and saw the two of us together in the mirror.
All the memories were suddenly flooding my memory. "Why?" He clenched his jaw and sighed. "Milea, please don't mention the past to anyone. I have a reputation to live up to here and the past will just ruin it all for me."
I stared at him, stunned by his words. "You left me at my worst, it was the hardest time of my life then you added fuel to the flame and-"
He cut me off, "Stop Milea, the past is in the past."
I stared at him unsure of what to say, "You're honestly so pathetic."
With that said I made my way downstairs.
AIDEN'S POV
I overheard their entire conversation. I'm beyond confused. I hear Milea's footsteps and I quickly hide in Liam's room.
How dare he speak to her like that? What happened between them? What did he do to her?
Nothing's making sense. Something's up.
I'm buzzing with questions, that need answers.
MILEA'S POV
I head downstairs and saw Liam staring at me. "You okay Milea?" I nod. He held my hand, "Hey what's wrong? You can talk to me." I sighed, "Thank you Liam but there's nothing to say." He nodded. "Well I'm here for you Milea." I smiled.
I then saw Aiden walking towards me. "Wanna dance, again?" I smiled and nodded.
This time he pulled me close to him and we swayed to the music.
Weird, but I forgot my situation and my problems. I just enjoyed living in the now.
AIDEN'S POV
I went downstairs and I saw Milea talking to Liam. I could see her mood was not as happy as it was when she arrived at the party.
I decided to cheer her up, I mean she cheered me up. I decided to ask her to dance. I pulled her close to me and I swayed her through the music.
I saw Levi staring at us while we were dancing. I honestly couldn't care less.
After the dance I glanced at her, "You hungry?" She nodded. We walked into the kitchen and opened another box of pizza.
We spoke again and she glanced at me, "I'm sorry for being in your way or anything when I got here."
Oh yeah, gosh I was a jerk when she got here. I actually feel really guilty for judging her and forming an opinion on her.
I ran my hand threw my hair, "Yeah, about that I'm sorry. I mean if you haven't noticed I don't trust easily." She nodded.
"Why is that?" I clenched my jaw and sighed, "Because I'm never sure how long they're going to stay."
There we sat, in a comfortable silence.
