Damon was standing in Mystic Falls hospital. He had just finished talking with Liz about Caroline being in the hospital when he saw Elena enter. His eyes immediately darkened. He walked closer and heard her talking to Bonnie about Caroline.
"Bonnie. How's Caroline?"
"She's weak. They don't know if she's going to make it."
"What?" Elena's voice cracked and Bonnie pulled her into a tight hug. "Is there something that you can do? Like a spell or something?"
Damon decided to make himself known and stepped forward. "She doesn't know how, do you?"
Bonnie turned and glared at him. "No, I don't."
"No, you don't because it took Emily years to learn a spell like that." Damon said, matter of factually towards the witch.
"Well, I can take down a vampire, that spell was easy to learn." Bonnie sneered.
Damon rolled his eyes at her. "I can give Caroline some blood." Elena immediately started to deny it but Damon cut her off, "no, just enough to heal her. She will be safe in the hospital and it will be out of her system in a day, she will be better Elena."
"It's too risky, I can't agree to that."
"Do it." Bonnie was the one to cut Elena off the time. Elena looked at her shocked and Bonnie sighed, "this is Caroline. We can't let her die. Do it."
"If I do this, you and me, call a truce?" Damon gestured between him and Bonnie.
"No. But you'll do it anyway because I know you're only doing this to get back in Xander's good books." Bonnie smirked smugly. "And if you don't help Caroline, I'll be sure to tell Xander that to."
Damon glared at her retreating figure. He really hated her. He was now left alone with Elena and he knew they had to talk. "We should talk about what happened tonight."
Elena nodded, "yeah, one of the tomb vampires got into the house and almost killed John."
Damon looked confused. "What? When? What are you talking about? After I left?"
It was Elena's turn to look confused. "You were there? When were you at the house?"
Damon narrowed his eyes. "Really? Earlier, on the porch, we were talking, and you kissed me Elena!"
Elena frowned and scoffed, "okay, I don't have time for this Damon."
"You want to forget? Good. So do I but you can't tell Xander. We're already on rocky ground and he doesn't need to know that his best friend kissed me." Damon glared. He couldn't believe Elena would actually kiss him. He didn't kiss back of course. He would never do that to Xander and he thought Elena was Xander's friend? He didn't know what gave her the urge to kiss him and he really regretted going over to her house in the first place. He should've been at home with his boyfriend who needed him.
