Elsa sat at her dressing table, brushing her damp platinum blonde locks through as she applied her make up, the heat from the summer sun gradually drying her hair. She spent the time she was using to apply her make up to think about what had just happened. She applied a small amount of eye shadow, mascara and lipstick. Blush seemed unnecessary since her cheeks would become pink the second she thought about the kiss that now hardly left her mind. The kiss made her feel incredible, her heart race and her lips curl into a smile which seemed to be impossible to remove. It seemed like
just thinking of him made her lose control of her emotions. Lose control. She couldn’t afford to lose control of anything else. Her powers alone were more than enough.
She had to drag herself away from him. She had no choice. Her love for him couldn’t be that strong. She hardly knew him, maybe she had just grown attached to him because he was the only person she wasn’t related to who knew of her curse.
She jumped slightly from losing herself in thought, when a pair of arms wrapped around her from behind, his hands taking a firm grip of her hips through her robe that were already on the edge of her seat, lips pressed to the back of her neck. Her breath caught in her throat as his lips brushed against her cool skin. She quickly rose to her feet making him pull back.
She hurriedly walked over to the closet, and pulled out the first hanger she could take a hold of not even paying attention to what she had chosen as she walked into the bathroom. The sound of his chuckle following her in as she shut the door behind her before he could enter. She closed her eyes and sighed, if she would have stayed sitting in her bedroom she wouldn’t have been able to resist his tender kisses, but if she gave in she would again be admitting she was in love. The ice queen was not made to fall in love. She took a deep breath and opened her eyes to look down at the seemingly light dress that hung from the hanger in her hands. “Damn” She cursed as she realized her mistake and the reason he had laughed. In her panic to get some clothing and get herself into the bathroom she had gone into the wrong closet and pulled out one of his shirts.
After a few second she placed her hand back on the door handle and clicked it open to see Hans sitting on the bed opposite the bathroom door, peering up at her smugly over his book. She hastily walked over to her own closet and turned away from him and began looking through her selection of dresses.
“I was going to say, that’s a rather odd choice of clothing for a Queen, but of course you could make anything look perfect” He winked, slowly returning his eyes to his book.
“I highly doubt me in a man’s shirt would be described as ‘perfect’ but I’ll keep that in mind” Trying not to seem effected by his arrogant and flirtatious comments. She picked out a summer dress, not wanting to be stuck in a long, heavy dress in weather like this.
Finally she walked into the bathroom once again, shutting the door fully behind her. She pushed the robe off her shoulders and let it fall to floor. She put on underwear and a petticoat then continued to pull the dress over her head and down, brushing the skirt down from her waist.
She looked at herself in the mirror. The dress was the only piece of clothing she had bought by her parents as a gift. It was identical to Anna’s coronation dress, except the skirts main colour was a beautiful sky blue. She pinned two ribbons into her bun the hung from the bottom center and down the middle of her neck. She did a small spin and a smile into the mirror then raised her chin royally. Finally she returned to her bedroom, Hans still in the same position he was before.
“While you spend your hours reading fictional stories, I'm going to go and try to find happiness in reading and signing contracts and what-not” She muttered, slipping on some flat black shoes, turning on her heel and heading for the door.
“I’ll help!” He said cheerfully.
“No!” She replied, a little too suddenly. “I mean, no thank you, its fine, I can deal with it myself”
“No no, I insist.” He replied, placing his book down on the bedside table and slipping his feet easily into his boots. He stood up and corrected his suit before walking over to Elsa’s side, wrapping his arm around her and pulling her closely into his side making Elsa tense up slightly, her plan of keeping her distance from him failing miserably.
He pulled the door open and walked through with her, shutting the door behind him. His firm grip, his scent and charming smile making her heart race and her knee’s weak. She broke their eye contact and swallowed. Her ice blue eye’s darting around the corridor everywhere but on him.
“Elsa?” He asked in his calm, deep and slightly husky voice.
Her heart raced and she wanted to scream at herself to get it together. He’s was an arrogant prince which means he knows how to mess with a girls mind, he knows exactly what buttons to press to charm a girl, make them weak and make them his. “Mhm?” She hummed, looking up into his gorgeous, alluring eyes. Elsa refused to let herself fall into that trap.
“You look absolutely gorgeous” He said with that grin. She tried to find something to reply with, but all that came out was a girly giggle.
As much as Elsa hated it, it seemed like that trap she tried to avoid, she was already in.
They made their way into the study. Elsa quickly took her usual seat at the desk and Hans sat at the seat opposite her, picking up a piece of paper, letting his eyes scan through it before signing the bottom.
Elsa picked up the piece of paper at the top of the pile, holding it up in front of her face as if she was reading it, dropping it slightly to peer over at him as he worked through his own pile. She tilted her head to one side ever so slightly, biting one side of her bottom lip as she studied each of his features. His fiery hair at a perfect length that even looked perfect at its most messy times. His emerald green eyes you could quite easily get lost into, his flawless skin, perfect straight white teeth, his smile we no longer even need to comment on. His muscular body, his-
“Elsa!” He said with his voice raised, clicking his fingers twice in front of her eyes. “Your lack of concentration has resulted in that treaty now being a block of ice.”
She looked down at the piece of paper in her hands, now coated with swirls of ice and frost. She blushed a bright shade of red, quickly freeing her lower lip from her teeth.
“Elsa, I know you're trying to distance yourself from me… just because you're scared to fall in love.” He said confidently.
“I am not! I- I don’t love you! How many times do I have to tell you!” She raised her voice also, her stutter confirming her uncertainty and embarrassment.
“Of course, that’s why you were staring at me for ten minutes and making snowflakes instead of signatures…” He leant back in his chair, crossing his arms; proud of the line he had come up with.
She felt her cheeks heat up to match the red colour they glowed.
“What are you so scared about Elsa? What scares you so much about your feelings?”
She swallowed as their eyes met again.
“No one will think any less of you sweetheart” he said, raising himself out of his chair, walking round to her side of the desk and pulling her by her arm up and out of her chair and onto her feet, spinning her around so her back was against the edge of the desk. He placed one hand on her cheek and let the other hand slowly glide up her leg in the same way the drunk prince had the night before. As she leant back, he leant forwards. Their lips just millimeters apart as his hand continued to slide as slowly as he could up her thigh, teasing its way up.
“I’m not afraid of anything” She whispered before their lips made contact.
I hope this is okay! This took FOREVER.
Don’t forget to leave a comment etc! I’ll love you forever -m x
