Elsa squinted slightly as her eyes began to open, the natural light that crept into her bedroom finally waking her up. She was laid on her side as she hummed happily, being woken up by the rising sun was her favourite way to wake up. She laid still, still half asleep until her eyes snapped open as she felt a weight on her. She looked down to see a warm toned arm draped over her waist and wrapped around her and the back of her body pressed against the front of his. Her breath caught in her throat. When they fell asleep the two of them faced different ways and were as far away as they could possibly be in her enormous bed, so why were they like this now?

Elsa sighed as she could feel his warm breath on the back of her neck sending strange shivers down her spine. She wanted to move away from him, this wasn’t right, a Queen this close with a man she met two days ago. Yes he was her husband but it still wasn’t right. But something inside of her enjoyed it, she hadn’t been hugged or loved in anyway in so many years, not even from her own parents from where they had tried their best to avoid her from their own fear of her seemingly uncontrollable powers.

A small low pitched groan broke the silence as she felt him try to move and stretch but he immediately stopped, which Elsa assumed meant he had opened his eyes and realized they were so close.

“Good morning Elsa” he whispered nervously, incase she wasn’t yet awake, not moving so it wouldn’t wake her.

“Good morning Hans” She whispered back awkwardly, unsure of what to do while they laid in this rather intimate position.

Hans slowly pulled away fro her and rolled over onto his back before sitting himself up against the headboard. Elsa quickly copied sitting beside him, fiddling with her fingers anxiously, unsure of what to say.

The silence was comfortable for a while but soon became uncomfortable.

“Hans…” She said, looking over at him as he sat there with messy hair going in every direction, but she was sure her own was just as bad.

He looked over at her with a tired smile as he rubbed his eyes “Yes?”

“I was thinking and I came up with an idea… you might think its stupid but I think it would be the best way to get to know one another”

Hans raised one eyebrow, rather intrigued. “And what is that exactly?”

Elsa pushed some hair from her face, pushing it away from her eyes “Well I was thinking that what if we just forget we are married… I mean, act like friends around one another and then if our liking toward one another advances then that’s good, and it wont be forced love and maybe we might be able to actually enjoy our relationship to the best of our ability.” She paused for a couple of seconds before covering her face with one hand and laughing slightly “Sorry that’s a stupid idea.”

Hans shook his head, chuckling softly “I think it’s a rather good idea actually, we will have to act like a married couple for some things, but at balls it will give us a chance to get to meet new people, not in a relationship way, I just need to make friends with people, I don’t really know anyone from Arendelle and it would be great to feel like I fit in more”

Elsa nod her head “I agree, I don’t really know anyone here either except some of the lovely servants that looked after me so well” Elsa said with a small smile, she loved the fact that some of the servants who worked in the castle were like friends and/or parents, they were truly amazing people and she definitely did not look down on them in anyway.

“Great, well there is another ball tonight to say farewell to everyone who attended the wedding and coronation, who have been staying in the castle, so I guess this is our chance to socialize… and if it gets too much for you, you can let me know and I’ll come back up here with you, but I really think you should reveal your powers to Arendelle sometime soon, but don’t let me rush you, I don’t know what it is like for you”
