Elsa placed a hand over her mouth to silence her small gasp, her eyes filled with cold tears that continued to roll down her cheeks. A mixture and anger and heart brake ran through her body. Her heart raced and began to beat violently against her rib cage. Suddenly she couldn’t think of anyone she hated more than him, but that wasn’t the worst part. By far the worst part was that she still loved him, she had no reason to why though, he was an arrogant, manipulative, cheating, lying monster. His father was correct, how could she be so stupid to not see right through it. Power. Was power so important that her feelings no longer matter at all?

His laughter echoed down the corridor making her rage grow. How dare he use her after everything? Why didn’t he just tell her? Its not like she had a choice anyway, it just would have meant she wouldn’t have fallen for him as hard as she did.

She walked cautiously down the corridor, not letting her eyes leave the silhouettes. As much as it made her even more angry she couldn’t stop. They were walking toward Hans and Elsa’s study. Elsa remained silent, trying to hear what they were saying but they were too far away. She didn’t move any closer in fear of being caught, refusing to let her curiosity get the better of her and it seemed like she already knew what was going on well enough.

She watched the figures stand outside of the study door for a few minutes before he pulled her into a tight embrace. “Remember, Elsa can not know about any of this, okay?”

The female shape nod her head in reply.

“I’ll see you again tomorrow, yes?”

And Before Elsa could hear the response she rushed noiselessly down the corridor back to her room, her vision blurring from the tears that continued to stream down her face. After a minute she was back in her room only the sound of her sobs and the slam of her door hung in the air. She leant her back against the door and let herself slide down onto the floor, hugging her knees into her chest, mascara filled tears transferring onto the skirt of her dress.

Those words continued to repeat in her mind ‘I’ll see you again tomorrow’

He loved this mystery girl so much that he wanted to see her again tomorrow and ‘Remember, Elsa can notknow about any of this, okay?’

‘Too late’ She thought. Too late to hide your lying, cheating disgusting personality. You'd think a prince would have learnt how to respect a Queen, or any woman in fact. He is made of lies, of course he pretended to love her when she was ready and willing to lose her innocence with him, but once he had used her he decided to find someone else. She was just a tool for his pleasure, and she tried so hard not to let herself fall for this sad excuse of a man. The thought of him made her sick and she didn’t ever want to see his face again, but at the exact same time she wanted to feel his arms wrapped around her waist, and his soft tender kisses running up her neck and onto her lips, making her feel incredible. But it was all a lie, their whole relationship was a lie.

Everything Elsa finally thought she understood and brought her happiness just disintegrated in just a matter of seconds. She had truly believed he loved her, so what was love? Nothing made sense anymore, all she now knew for sure is that she could feel her heart shattering and she no longer knew who she could trust. Maybe it was true, she was unlovable. The only Queen of Arendelle who wouldn’t be loved. Her own stupidity was a curse of its own. Her ridiculous feelings for Hans felt like a curse. Her whole entire life was a curse, and if she couldn’t understand her own emotions or how would she ever control her powers.

What did she do to deserve this, being married to a man who hated her enough to cheat on her in her own castle. Maybe even in her own study?!

The thought of it all made her feel sick to the core. She finally lifted her head to look at the large clock that hung on the wall in front of her. She wiped away her tears to clear her vision. Eight Thirty.

It had already been an hour since she should have been at dinner with her husband. Which meant she had been sitting on the floor, freezing the room, crying and feeling sorry for herself for two whole hours, yet it had only felt like a matter of minutes. He would be back any minute now.

She sighed angrily and finally forced herself back up onto her feet, brushing the frost off of her dress and wiping the make up off of her face. She looked at herself in the mirror and tidied up her smudged make up, she then continued to pick up a folded up piece of paper which contained a message Hans had given her the other day. It was nothing particularly amazing it simply said:

‘I love you Elsa – Hans’

She held it tightly in her hand as she walked onto the balcony, looking out onto the beautiful kingdom she owned. She rested both of her elbows on the balcony railing and unfolded the piece of paper and slowly ripped it down the middle, continuing to rip it more and more until you couldn’t read a single letter.

She heard the door click behind her followed by a familiar cheerful voice “Hey sweet heart. I missed you at dinner, still not feeling too good?” He asked sweetly, making Elsa clench her fists.

“I guess you could say that. Something just made me lose my appetite.” She said through gritted teeth, continuing to rip the paper as much as possible. He walked out onto the balcony behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her back into him. She immediately opened her hands, letting the tiny torn pieces of paper fall and gracefully and begin to float down into Arendelle. “Get. Off. Of. Me.” She growled angrily as that cold feeling returned quicker than ever. Hans immediately let go of her and moved to stand by her side, leaning also on the balcony railing looking at her, trying to understand why she seemed so angry.

“I'm sorry I didn’t stay with you, there was just work that needed to be done, you'll be so happy when its all done!” He kept his tone cheerful.

Elsa finally turned to face him, staring coldly into his eyes “Do not talk to me. I hope you spend more time on your precious ‘work’ because I know how important it is to you. You're worse than your father”

Hans expression suddenly changed from confused to hurt “I… I’m worse than my father?” His voice went from upset to angry in a split second. “What is wrong with you?! I thought we had worked everything out! I thought you loved me!” He shouted.

She kept an angry expression but her voice broke slightly from where she was struggling to hold back her tears. “And I thought you loved me.”
