She began to absentmindedly run her fingers through her now slightly crimped hair from having it in the same style all day. Her eyes gazed out of the window at the dreary view she was growing to get used to. “Even the most rundown parts of Arendelle had a better view than this, don’t you think? I mean, I'm grateful I can stay here…but…” Anna asked, her voice trailing off awkwardly. Kristoff nodded his head as he stood behind her with his arms wrapped around her. “Of course I must agree, but staying here is perfect if it means I can call you my wife” Kristoff chuckled, letting his lips find Anna’s right cheek, which made her blush and giggle.
Their moment was quickly ruined by 3 loud knocks on their bedroom door. “Princess Anna?” A male voice called. Anna wriggled herself free of Kristoff’s grip before galloping excitedly over to the door, quickly pulling it open with a large smile on her face. “James!” She announced, her eyes lighting up at the sight of a guard who she had become particularly close to over the two months she had spent in Aria with their royal family.
“Good evening Princess Anna and Kristoff, I hope you're having a lovely evening but I've just been told to deliver this to you…Its from…” He muttered, anxious to state who the letter had come from.
“Are you going to tell me who its from then?” Anna laughed, pushing for the answer.
“Its from your sister, the Queen of Arendelle”
Anna froze at the words. Elsa’s name and anything about her had been avoided for the past two months and now suddenly she was expected to read a letter from her, which most likely expected a reply of some sort. “Oh… Right” Anna replied, reaching out her hand and taking the letter, staring at it although it was something to be amazed by, she finally stopped her staring contest with the paper in her hand to look back up at the guard in front of her. “So is that all?” she asked, her voice not as enthusiastic as it was a few minutes ago. He nodded his head and left with a soft smile, closing the door behind him.
“So she breaks my heart then tries to contact me?” She sighed, looking up at Kristoff. “You’ve not even read it yet, give her a chance, she’s not a bad person, you know she just doesn’t deal with stress well!” Kristoff explained, surprisingly defending Elsa.
“You're right, I'm sorry” she grinned, planting a gentle kiss on his lips before running her finger along the seal of the envelope opening it nervously.
Pulling out the letter she unfolded it and sighed quietly as she began to read the words neatly written on the page.
“Dear Anna…”

“She’s supposed to receive it today…”
“Who’s receiving what?” Hans asked tiredly as he crawled under the duvet by Elsa’s side.
“Anna… Receiving the letter… remember? I sent it about a week ago” Elsa reminded, suddenly beginning to think of all the negative ways in which Anna could react.
“Oh… Yes, of course. I'm sure she will be delighted to have her big sister back in her life”
Elsa sighed as she laid back against the pillows behind her “How could I be so stupid as to lock her out, again. She deserves so much better… And I hope she hasn’t married Kristoff yet, I Wouldn’t wa-“
“I thought you said she could marry him? You can’t expect her to forgive you if you wont let her marry the ice guy…”
Elsa gave him an unimpressed look before continuing to talk “You didn’t let me finish.. I hope she isn’t married yet because I’d really like to attend her wedding, She would look so lovely in a wedding dress, well in any dress, but you know what I'm trying to say. Maybe I could even make her an Ice dress!” She exclaimed with excitement, but the look of excitement faded quickly. “I can’t let myself think like this… She might never want to talk to me again… let alone have me at her wedding, you know I wouldn’t blame her if she tore the letter up the minute she discovered it was from me. I treated her so badly I-“
“Shhh…” Hans hushed, placing one index finger to her lips. “You're amazing, You're still just learning how to use and control your powers but you're getting there sweetheart! And I'm sure Anna will have thought it all through and she will understand, you know how loving Anna is, I mean at your coronation she hardly wanted to be away from you! She loves you so much what ever you do and that will continue forever, just like how I love you”
Elsa let her eyes close as she took a deep breath, trying to find a point of relaxation. “I love you too, both of you that is. You have believed in me all this time and I still have no idea why. Without you I'm sure my life would be in a completely different direction. I just know this was the correct direction for me, you're my happiness Hans and I could never thank you enough for that.”
Hans rolled over to face her with a rather large smirk spread across his face. “Why did you stop?”
“Stop what?” She asked, completely perplexed by his question.
“The compliments! I was enjoying them”
Elsa let out a laugh and rolled her eyes at his comment. She swiftly pulled a pillow from behind her and hit him with it. “I think that ego of yours is way too big…”
“And I think your side of the bed is way too big in comparison to mine, but I'm not complaining!”
She raised one eyebrow yet tried to remain serious. “Hans. You complain about that every night.”
He finally let himself laugh as he pulled Elsa's body closer to his “Well I'm sure neither of us will complain about this right?” he asked rhetorically, his lips pressed against the cold skin of her neck.
“Mhmm..” She sighed as she slowly began to leave reality for a few hours of dreams.
“Goodnight my Queen” Hans whispered letting her sleep with a final kiss until the morning.
Don’t forget to leave a comment etc! I’ll love you forever -m x
