Elsa stared at him wide eyed, tears still falling from her eyes. Her glances changed between the ring and him. After a matter of seconds she let out a small laugh, wiping away a few of her final tears. “This isn’t the most romantic proposal, but its better than the last non-existent one”
Hans chuckled lightly, glad to see the smile return to her face. “I agree, and I love you so much Elsa, words cannot even begin to describe my love for my gorgeous, perfect wi-“ He began, but before he could say anything more she whispered a quiet “Yes.” Causing Hans to get up and pull the ring from the box. He took her left hand and slipped the ring onto her finger by her wedding ring and without a seconds hesitation he let his lips connect with hers, his hands cupping her face with his thumbs gently running over her skin wiping her tear stained cheeks. He finally pulled away when he could feel himself running low on oxygen but he held here close with his forehead on hers, looking deep into those incredible blue eyes of hers. “I’d never do anything to hurt you Elsa. I promise, I could never be happier with anyone other than you. You rule my heart just like you rule Arendelle – Perfectly” He sighed and kissed her lips once again, but much softer this time. “I never thought I would ever find love. But the day I met you, the real you, I knew you were the girl of my dreams” Hans said with a caring smile which made Elsa giggle. “I hate the fact that I'm so deeply in love with you Hans” She laughed.
“Hate?” He asked, laughing awkwardly, letting his hands run down the sides of her body to her hips, grabbing them firmly and pulling her body against his.
She giggled again, which she only ever did when with him, “Yes, hate…Because it means I have no control over my emotions for you. Even at the moment I hated you most, at the moment I thought you no longer loved me; I still loved you with all my heart. And the worst part about being in love with you is that my happiness lies in your hands. But at the same time I couldn’t love being ‘yours’ more.”
Hans’ smile continued to grow with each and every word she spoke. “Well, Mrs Westerguard, I hate being in love with you more!” He laughed in a childish tone, sticking his tongue out at her. Elsa rolled her eyes and sighed as she tried to hold in her laughter “That was supposed to be emotional and meaningful! Not a childish competition… But, if you're going to make it into a competition, I hate loving you the most!” She replied, sticking her tongue out just like he had.
“I strongly disagree. But I know I'm right, and that is all that matters” He teased, letting go of Elsa and crossing his arms over his chest. Elsa took a step away from him and crossed her arms also, her lips curling into a small smile as she tried not to laugh at their stubbornness. “Well I'm not leaving this room until you admit that I hate loving you, more than you hate loving me”
Hans finally let a laugh escape his mouth “It looks like we are going to be here a long time then… Unless I do this!” He chuckled, lifting the Queen off of her feet, resting her over his shoulder. Elsa began to struggle against him as he began to walk out of the door. “Hans!” She squealed, “If you don’t put me down I’ll scream, and guards would be battling to save me in a matter of seconds!”
Hans simply laughed in response as she continued to squeal and shout threats that echoed loudly down the corridor. Just as Hans and Elsa got to the corridor where Elsa’s bedroom was Anna walked out of her own room, her arm linked with Kristoff’s as they both looked lovingly into one another’s eyes, it must be getting late by now, late enough for Kristoff to be returning home. Hans changed his grip on Elsa so he was now carrying her in the bridal style so she could see the two love birds standing by Anna’s room, just a few meters from Elsa’s bedroom door. Elsa coughed purposefully to catch Anna’s attention, breaking the awkward tension of Elsa seeing her little sister staring deeply into the eyes of some man. Hans finally put Elsa down as Anna and Kristoff looked over at them. Elsa brushed down her dress and smiled at the two of them “You two are so cute together, my little sisters growing up!” she giggled in a teasing manner, laughing as Anna rolled her eyes
“You're only a few older… Please stop trying to embarrass me Elsa, go get carried to bed by that husband of yours” Anna giggled, teasing her straight back, she laughed more as Elsa’s pale cheeks became red and Elsa tried not to show her reaction to the mocking from her sister but it seemed impossible. “Go say good night to your boyfriend” Elsa muttered, turning the door handle and walking into her room “Love you Elsie!” Anna called as she walked down the hallway.
Elsa grinned “I love you too!”
She finally walked into her bedroom and fell onto the bed, followed by Hans who laid down by her side, not taking his eyes off of her. She looked up at the ceiling in silence for a few minutes. “What are you thinking about?” He asked curiously. Elsa finally broke her staring contest with the ceiling to let their eyes meet “What date have you planned for our… second marriage to take place?”
“A few weeks from now, I need enough time to plan it, but I want it soon. The process is a lot quicker with the amount of help I've been offered from around the castle. You don’t have to wear a wedding dress If you don’t want to, and you can decide if you want it to just be a small event, or the whole kingdom because I know how you feel ab-“
“I know you want to do this properly Hans… So I’ll wear a proper dress, and you can invite as many people as you like, whether that’s ten people, or the entire kingdom. I just want you to be happy.”
Hans smiled softly and pulled her in towards him “What else is on your mind?” He asked, signaling to the snow that floated around them.
“Nothing really, I'm sorry about my reaction earlier, I wasn’t thinking properly, I guess the thought of you loving someone else scared me. I love you Hans with all my heart, even if sometimes I don’t show it as much as I could. I guess I just never thought I would ever be loved, nor would I fall in love, especially as deeply as I have for you. I am grateful that I can fall asleep and wake up in your arms” Hans smiled at each thing she said, his eyes lighting up with each and every word. “Speaking of sleep, we should probably get changed, tomorrow is a long day and wedding planning is truly exhausting” Elsa nod as they both got off the bed, walking over to their closets “So how much have you planned?” She questioned, pulling out a nightgown that she swiftly got changed into. Hans began to get changed himself “Well… I planned the date, and I…”
“I'm guessing you’ve only planned the date, oh how exhausting! You must be absolutely drained of energy!” She teased, sarcasm taking over the tone of her voice as she crawled back into bed, pulling the entire duvet onto her side, wrapping herself up into them. He nodded and got back onto the bed, pulling at the duvet “Hey! You don’t need to be warm, you’re the snow queen! On the other hand, I actually get bothered by the cold” He laughed, letting his hands tickle her sides making her giggle, the sound of her giggle was like a beautiful melody to his ears, making him tickle her even more. “Hans stop!” she laughed breathlessly, unraveling herself from the pile of sheets, pushing them to his side. He finally let her go and the two of them laid down with large smiles on their faces. Elsa let her head rest on his chest, his arms wrapped around her and their legs tangled together.
“I love you so much sweetheart.”
“And I love you too”
