Well, Will got destroyed in basketball. He lasted about 10 seconds before the baboons ganged up on him and I don't even know what happened but he lost 30-0 against the baboon with a rainbow bum wearing a Lakers jersey, Khufu. He was so embarrassed I didn't see him until after dinner which was when the elf and small man in a fashionable suit showed up. The Griffins on the roof started screeching right after we finished eating, and the house's magical protections should have activated if they were unwelcome intruders or gods. We all ran to the rooftop and saw a very disgruntled dwarf with a tear in his suit as one of the griffins was pulling him, and a thin but unmistakeable elf trying to pull him away.

Sadie was about to summon some magic by speaking a hieroglyph when the elf drew some kind of rune from his bag and threw it high. It burst into light before them and a shield separated the two from everyone, even the Griffins, and then the elf promptly fainted. We tried to rush at them but our attempts were buffered by the shield the elf summoned. Sadie was about to break the barrier when the little man spoke up.

"Stop! we're friends!" He yelled, putting up his hands which had a lot of rings.

"How do we even know you're friends?" Sadie asked.

"We're with Magnus! He just got delayed. We also had problems on our end," he answered.

"Why are you so small?" I blurted. Sadie groaned loudly.

"You blustering idiot! He's a dwarf, obviously!" She replied.

"Yes! I'm a dwarf! A fashionable dwarf!" He grumbled, then proceeded to wake his elf friend. Not long after a blond guy who looked a lot like Kurt Cobain fell from the sky, followed by a green-haired girl. The Cobain lookalike fell clumsily and rolled, bumping into the shield while the girl dropped gracefull, breaking her fall into a roll and standing in one seamless move.

"Oh, hi," the blonde said as he stood up. He held out a hand in greeting. No one shook it. "I'm Magnus, Annabeth's cousin. I'm assuming you're the guys she told me about?" He asked.

"Are you sure you're Annabeth's cousin? Other than your hair you look and act nothing alike," Sadie commented. Magnus looked surprised.

"Don't mind him. I'm Alex," The gi- wait, it's a guy?! Said. "Wipe off those looks from your faces. I'm gender-fluid and don't refer to me at all,"

"This is Blitz and the passed out elf is Hearthstone," Magnus introduced his friends.

"The quest only mentioned one other demigod from another pantheon. Are all of you coming?" Lou Ellen asked. This girl is straight to the point.

"We only chaperoned him. If we weren't here he'd already be dead trying to escape from the squirrel," Alex said.

"Then that completes the people for this quest. Three demigods, us, obviously, then two wizards, Sadie and Carter, then Magnus is the other demigod!" Cecil exclaimed. Alex started to wonder who he was when Lou introduced everyone to everybody.

"Can we, can we maybe rest first? That squirrel made me do a marathon!" Magnus exclaimed, slumping to the ground, breathing heavily.

"The Einherjar abilities are weakening with the disappearance of the veil," Alex explained. "Or maybe Magnus is just really a wuss," Magnus started to protest but Alex just put a finger over Magnus' lips and started to walk downstairs.

"Hey! You can't enter without-"

BOOM! The blue field that the Brooklyn House uses to keep out those who weren't invited activated itself once Alex tried to cross into the threshold. It pushed Alex back out, maybe a little forcefully. Alex slid across the ground until Magnus caught him.

"permission," Walt finished.

Sadie immediately went to give them permission while I helped Alex stand up. Once everything was done, we went in, proceeding to the library. We haven't even descended half of the staircase when a loud explosion rocked the building.

"Again?!" Sadie complained. I swear she complains about everything nowadays.

We all rushed up to see that we weren't being attacked by monsters. Missiles. Manmade weapons. Choppers. There were armed men trying to drop down on the balcony but it seemed that Philip the crocodile was turning them away for now. I cursed. Sadie tried to cast a spell but I stopped her.

"We can't attack them like this! They're mortals!" I reminded her.

"Then what do you expect to do? We can't leave the Brooklyn House undefended! We can't just let them come bloody barging in like that!" She was starting to panic.

"Do you know the memory magic Amos used to do to the officers?" I asked her. She just shook her head. "Then that's our answer. There's nothing else we can do. We need to evacuate the Twenty-First Nome. Call everybody," I ordered.

A/N: Arrgghhhh It's really late and there's this thing that's happening but I won't bother you guys with that.
