Spider and I discussed plans on how to get to Hecate. He only had two conditions before they help us. First was that I help them with the design of this building and more safehouses, and the other was that we remind the gods that they still have children and descendants outside of America, and that they need them.
I went back with Piper and Ben to get the others who were still in the room to tell them what we were supposed to do. When we got there, they were talking about something. We told them of the conditions of the group, who Ben was kind enough to say was called "The Descendants". I don't know why they're called that but it's good enough for me.
"I already thought we'd agree, but if anyone disagrees with this speak up now," I told them. They just nodded their heads and agreed with me.
"Okay, so first things first. Let's see if the Hecate Cabin has any update on Hecate's whereabouts," I said. "What time is it, Ben?"
"Three in the afternoon, why?" He asked.
"Thanks, we're making a rainbow to contact camp," I answered, already dragging Percy out of the room. Ben followed us, handing me a squirt bottle. I gave it to Percy and he made a rainbow out of it. I hastily drew a drachma and threw it in, calling for the address of camp.
Chiron's familiar face greeted us, and I waved at him as the others went out and greeted him.
"Chiron!" We chorused.
"Children, Annabeth. How is it going there?" He asked.
"We are almost there. It turns out these people are called "The Descendants". They are legacies and children of the gods from all around the world, banded together at times like these. With the Mist gone, I'm pretty sure a lot of bad things have been happening. Am I right?"
"You're not wrong. There is incredible danger. Olympus has been invaded The gods are in hiding. Those who were left on Olympus were captured by the Mortals,"
My blood ran cold. I could feel the color draining from my face. Olympus? Invaded? The gods are in hiding?! My design for Olympus was supposed to be able to hold a siege!
"Chiron! How about you? Are you alright?!" I asked.
"We are fine here. The mortals haven't found us yet, and we have already set up defensive measures with the help of Miss Dare to prevent them from coming here," He replied, stroking his beard.
"That reminds me, Chiron, can you get someone from the Hecate cabin please?"
He called over at his shoulder from the Big House to one Malcolm, my half-brother, then asked him to run over and get someone from Heate Cabin. He explained that Rachel was off doing some more arrangements with her dad to try and convince him to close off the roads leading near camp for a while.
One of the children of Hecate arrived, looking tired and wild from all the running.
"Chiron," he said between heavy breaths "you called?"
"Yes," Chiron said. The kid (Amber, I remembered her) noticed the Iris Message.
"Annabeth!" She waved. I greeted her and waved back.
"Amber, do you have any updates where Hecate is? We're close, but we need the specific location. China is too big to look for her there," I said.
"Yes, actually. Traces of her magic are becoming fainter, but sometimes they would randomly blaze and when we try to pinpoint her location it moves,"
"Then it's not in China anymore," I concluded.
"Yes, the last trace we found of her was in Russia. St. Petersburg, to be exact, after we used more locating spells and found a map."
"Russia? Then that's good news! We're here right now, a few hundred miles away from St. Petersburg. Thank you, Amber," I said. Everyone else did the same, and after a brief goodbye to Chiron, I swiped the message.
"So, we can finally finish this?" Percy asked.
"We're almost there. We just need to figure out what happened ton Hecate, and who took her. Then when we rescue her, we'll have to get back to camp and shore up our defenses." I told him.
"Let's do this then!" Thalia shook her fist.
"Let's do this!" Piper followed.
"Okay, let's tell the Descendants this new development and we'll start planning. What we'll face is someone strong enough to capture the goddess of magic, so he'll be pretty powerful. Not to mention all the mortals we'd have to worry about,"
"You've got something to tell us?" Spider strode out, his hands behind his back.
"Yes, actually. We've got new updates. Hecate is here. In Russia," I answered.
"Here? Then we must start our planning to save the goddess!" He exclaimed.
"Yes," I agreed.
