As I went out (ran out) the Hermes cabin, with my cabinmates hooting at me (don't ask) I headed to the dining pavilion where we all agreed to meet before leaving. I saw Annabeth and her group already there, and Lou Ellen was arguing with Nico whether he should come with us.

"I can come! I'm not letting Will head to danger." Nico grumbled.

"You know that you can't, Nico. The prophecy specifically said three demigods. We're complete already," Lou Ellen retorted.

"But I can feel it! Something big and deathly will happen in your quest!" Nico raised his voice. Not a good sign. The grass surrounding him was already starting to die.

"Hey, Neeks. You know I'm a healer, right? I can take care of myself," Will intervened.

"There are things you might not be able to take even the greatest caution with," Nico mumbled softly, but I still heard it. Eavesdropping is a skill of thieves after all.

"What was that?" Will asked

"Nothing. If you need help, I'll be yelling 'I told you so' in your faces as soon as I arrive," Nico said before stalking off.

"I don't know what's up with him these days," Will said, shaking his head. "Ever since he went to visit the underworld he's been like that."

"Maybe something happened in the underworld and he's just stressed," I suggested. "Sorry for butting in, I heard you guys talking"

"That's the thing. He wouldn't tell me what happened in the underworld," Will said. I didn't have an answer to that so I just shrugged my shoulders. We faced Chiron who was briefing us about the quest.

"You have your things, correct? Your provisions and your ambrosia and nectar?" He asked. he was answered by a chorus of yes's.

"Then I suppose you already know what to do. Lou Ellen, you said you were going to Brooklyn to meet with the magicians and Magnus?"

"Yes, Chiron," Lou Ellen answered.

"And you, Annabeth, you're going to China? How do you presume to do that?" He inquired.

"We're going through Pegasi. We can't travel by plane since Zeus might strike Percy out of the sky, and we do not have a boat or a ship to go by water. Traveling by Pegasi might be the best choice," She answered.

"Yes, correct." Chiron agreed. "Then you may go on your quests. Be careful not to get noticed by mortals. The Mist is still down. Godspeed to you all,"

The three of us went to the border that goes to the road while Annabeth and her group mounted their Pegasi and took off. We hailed a cab and rode straight to Brooklyn but with the traffic, it took us more than an hour to arrive.

"Do we even know where we're going?" I asked Lou.

"I already called Sadie. She's meeting us at an abandoned warehouse to bring us into their Nome. We'll meet Magnus later." She replied.

We were walking for a bit, with our weapons hidden in bags- my knives were in my pack, Will's bow and quiver are in a guitar case, and Lou Ellen's sword was disguised (and well-hidden) in a ski bag. Together we looked like a couple of awkward hippie teenagers with nothing to do in their life. We turned the corner to the abandoned warehouse where we saw nothing. What was I expecting?

"The Brooklyn House isn't there, you know. We're upstairs," a voice came out of the shadows, with a blonde girl with colored streaks in her hair following.

"You're Sadie?" I asked.

"Well, duh. Let's go. We can't let the humans see us like this. They'll follow us upstairs," she said, turning on her heels and going inside the warehouse. I looked at Lou and Will warily, and we just shrugged and followed her. Maybe they've been having issues with the mortals too.

She led us in the warehouse and stopped in front of an elevator, where she held out her hand and some magical (I'm assuming it's that because I do not know what those are) symbols appeared and the elevator sprung to life, showering the dark warehouse in golden light. We boarded it and rode it to the rooftop where I saw the Brooklyn House. Let me rephrase that. The Brooklyn MANSION. It was five stories high and looked very impressive with its limestone walls and steel windows with more of those magical symbols around them. She raised her hand and moved it in a 'shooing' motion and the gigantic door opened.

"Welcome to the Brooklyn House, more commonly known as the Twenty-First Nome. Come in!"

A/N: So, if you read my message last night you know why this update was late. If you didn't, then let me tell you the funny story of how I finished writing a chapter and realized that it was the wrong chapter since it was for Shifter: The Unknown Primordial and not for this, and I ran out of creative juices so I had to postpone writing. Anyways,

Thank you for reading!
