Feel free to comment and point out any mistake, I appreciate it because otherwise I would end up just leaving it and no one would understand the story or what I meant.
The Accepting Anxiety video has me thinking. Virgil said that putting on a dark persona was the best way to get anyone's guard up. Well why did Anxiety need a guard up in the first place? This is my version of why he was an "emo nightmare".
Anxiety's P.O.V.
I had just formed. I didn't think I would know anything, but I did. I knew a lot for being 1 hour old. I knew I was Anxiety. I knew that I was a part of someone, a side, and that I had a host, or someone who I was the anxiety of. I knew that our host, Thomas, was 16 and had multiple personalities. He had his Morality, Patton, his Logic, Logan, his Creativity, Roman(aka Princey), and he had me, his Anxiety, Virgil. I was formed wearing a light grey hoodie, and blue jeans with a Disney shirt underneath. I had freckles, and light brown hair, with brown eyes. I looked mostly like my host, but he had slightly darker hair and no freckles. I knew that Thomas had the ability to manifest his personalities, though he didn't know this yet. He didn't even know we existed yet. I knew that I was meant to help Thomas, but I was going to be a bit of an outcast. But that's okay. Being the odd one out can be fun sometimes! I arrived at the mindscape. It looked awesome! I knew Roman created this. I'd have to compliment him on this once I found him. I opened the door.
"Hi kiddo! I'm Morality, but you can call me dad!" Patton said.
"Salutations. I'm Logic, or Logan. May I inquire, who are you?" The logical side greeted.
"I am Prince Roman, though of course give heard of me! I am royalty after all" Princey exclaimed.
"Yeah, I have heard of you. This place looks amazing by the way. I heard you created it?"
" Why yes, I did! " he said gleefully, seeming surprised that I actually did know about him. "See! I told you Logan!" He whispered, probably thinking I can't hear him.
" Yes, that is a little unusual. However, you did not answer my question. What trait do you represent? " He asked.
"I represent Anxiety." I said happily. Only to see all their expressions immediately change. Logan looks confused, and a little angry, Patton looked disappointed, and Roman looked furious.
"Why would Thomas need Anxiety? He doesn't need a disorder keeping him from learning." Logan said, disgusted.
"Why would a villain form into a main trait? Now I can't vanquish him without Thomas' help!" Roman exclaimed , now looking at me like he wanted to drive the samurai sword on his back right through me.
"Why would you want to hurt Thomas?" Patton asked sadly.
"What? What do you mean I'm a disorder? And I don't want to be the villain or hurt Thomas, I want to help him! Honest!" I was alarmed by how quick they were to judge based on someone's title. "And I hope Thomas doesn't judge people as quickly as you do, I don't want him getting into any bad social situations." I added .
They all continued to talk to each other, ignoring me completely. Defeated, I sunk off to my room, and passed out form exhaustion.
~The Next Day~
I woke up, and the room that had been white before was now a dark gray. My jacket was black with grey stripes, and I had eyeshadow under my eyes. My entire face was covered in white foundation. What happened? No one would listen to me yesterday, no matter what I said. Now they were afraid of me. But they listened. No one likes me, but Thomas was safe. I was alone, but I was able to do my job. I would never have friends, but Thomas would. And to me, that's all that mattered. That what kept me going when they called me a villain. That's what I thought of whenever I was breaking down. If I was forever going to be seen as the bad guy, so be it. As long as Thomas was safe, then I would be okay. Not happy, but okay. Cause I never wanted to be the bad guy. But that's just how the story goes.
~Time Skip~
It was after the Crofters The Musical epsiode. We were all in the living room on the couch, and Thomas had a question for me.
"In the Accepting Anxiety video, you said that a dark persona was the best way to get anyone's guard up. Why did you need a guard up in the first place?"
I looked around at the others. They also looked curious.
"Yeah, why? I'm sure we would've accepted you." Patton says, ever the friendly father.
"You really don't remember?" I asked , surprised.
"No, I'm afraid I don't." Logan said .
"Nor do I" Princey added.
"It's better if I show you" I said . You see, I have this ability to relive any memory I chose, and sometimes ones that I don't wish to. I knew I could bring other people along with me, I just never did. We would be transparent, and the people in the memory wouldn't be able to see us. "Join hands" I told them .
They all looked at me confused, but did as I told anyways.
"You were still as arrogant back then." Logan noted .
"Yeah, I have heard of you. This place looks amazing by the way. I heard you created it?"
"I was actually nice back then" I said .
"Wait, that's you? " Thomas exclaimed.
"Yep. Just watch." I replied.
"Uh oh." Thomas said.
"Uh oh is right." I responded sadly.
"Why would Thomas need Anxiety? He doesn't need a disorder keeping him from learning." Logan said, disgusted.
"Why would a villain form into a main trait? Now I can't vanquish him without Thomas' help!" Roman exclaimed, now looking at me like he wanted to drive the samurai sword on his back right through me.
"That. Is why I had a guard up" I say, now back in present time. "The next day I woke up looking the same way I did before purple hair. And that's when my room transformed to what you guys saw when you came to get me. I was alone, but I was listened to, and Thomas was safe, so I was okay. Not happy, but okay." Luckily, I could finally be actually happy. I had a family, and that's all that mattered.
