Virgil's P.O.V.
I walk calmly into the imagination, enjoying the view. Roman really did a good job, not that I'd ever admit it. I head to the cliff, the place I've visited so many times before. I haven't come here in a while, not since I've been accepted actually. I used to come here all the time, contemplating jumping, but always too scared to do so. It is a beautiful place though, and now that those thoughts don't plague me it's actually quite calming. I glance at the sky, the sun is directly overhead so it must be around noon. I stare down at the bottom before glancing behind me, still slightly paranoid despite getting better with the others help. Good thing I did too, because one of the dark sides is creeping up on me. I whirl around, stepping away from the edge cautiously.
"What do you want Insanity?" I ask, glaring at him. Even though all the dark sides were nice to me when I thought I was one of them, he wasn't. He knew I was a light side, so he treated me horribly, living out some of his wicked fantasies of torture with me. Because of that, I've always hated him, and he's always hated me.
"Oh, I'm finally gonna kill you!" He says gleefully "You won't be able to stop me then! I'll have the mindscape to myself, with no one to stop me." He says, and before I can do anything, scream, shout, even tense up, he rams into me, throwing me off the cliff. My eyes widen as I fall, fearing more for the others than myself. My thoughts are cut short as I have no time to brace for the impact, pain being the last thing I remember.

Deceit's P.O.V.
I'm just chilling in the dark mindscape, when my thoughts drift to Virgil. I frown slightly, hoping he's okay. Insanity is kinda the ruler here, and since he hates Virgil he made me pretend to hate him too when I showed up for the video, Virgil took that as me siding with him finally and returned the spite, but I could tell the anger was more directed towards Insanity. Suddenly a horrible feeling rushes through me, dread filling my mind as I recognize it as the same feeling that happened when Virgil ducked out. Insanity runs in, a disturbed smile on his face, making my heart skip a beat. It can't be a coincidence.
"Anxiety finally committed suicide!" He shouts, almost giddily. My blood runs cold, and I can tell that I look horrified. Immediately I run out of the darkscape and into the imagination, heading to the cliff Virgil always visited. I look down, unease settling into the pt of my stomach. It's true I realize, suppressing a sob as I see his lifeless form crumpled on the ground. I sink out, the other sides deserve to know.
As I get there I see Insanity already standing there, watching the sides confusion as they view Thomas act carelessly from the mind.
"Guys" I choke out, fighting to keep my voice steady. They all turn to me, glaring in turn at me and Insanity, who opens his mouth to speak, but I cut him off "Virgil, he-he killed himself." I manage, not able to speak any more. They all look surprised, but not really worried. Wait, what?
"He's telling the truth. I saw it." Insanity says, fake remorse in his voice. Now they look distraught. Oh, right, they wouldn't believe me, I'm literally Deceit and they've never seen me not lie, so they'd have no reason to believe me. I glare at Insanity as they look at each other, not liking the role he's playing.
"What's with the act?" I hiss at him under my breath. He just giggles quietly, before changing to act like he's offended.
"What act? How dare you say that I didn't care for him!" He exclaims loudly, making the other three look up in shock.
"Oh, maybe it's because you literally tortured him every day? For all I know, you were the one who killed him!" I shout angrily, upset that he'd try to me me the villain in this. He glares at me briefly for bringing that up, before recomposing himself and acting even more offended. However, this time the other sides caught his response, turning to glare at him.
"If you were so innocent, then why would you not immediately reject that notion instead of glaring at him for saying at it, before acting like the victim again?" Logan asks, and I see Insanity's eyes flash gold and green for a second. Uh oh. He raises his hands, a deranged smile forming on his face. I realize what he's about to do and jump in front of the others, burning hot green cables sizzling as they bound themselves around me. I wince in pain, not having felt this in a while, and of course never having had 3 sets on me at once. Still, I break out of them, glaring at Insanity. Patton Logan and Roman look shocked that I'd do that, especially so as they see the red marks the cords left. I summon a few snakes, ready to have them do the same if needed, except their venom will make the side in them too weak to break free. Insanity starts circling, and I do the same, never taking my eyes away from his as he keeps that same demented smile. I glare harshly, all of my true hate for him showing. We keep circling silently, neither of us daring to make a move, until he turns, surprised as the door to the imagination opens. I leap at the opportunity, launching the snakes at him, waiting until he's down to look for myself. I realize why he was so surprised, because Virgil is standing in the doorway, surprise and relief in his eyes.
"What'd he tell you? I'm guessing that I killed myself?" He asks, and we all nod, too stunned to say anything. He just sighs "Yeah, I'm gonna assume you figured out that wasn't true based on what I just saw. He threw me off the cliff, but sides can't die, not unless they really really want to." He explains.
"But-how?! I really really wanted you dead, shouldn't that count?" Insanity demands angrily from the floor, making everyone turn to look at him.
"It was you! And you claimed I was mad for suggesting it!" I shout, glaring even more darkly at Insanity. Virgil looks surprised.
"Wait, I thought he turned you." He says, though it sounds more like a question than a statement. I shake my head.
"No, he's just the most powerful. With you gone, he controlled us." I explain. He nods, a sympathetic look on his face. He knows firsthand how bad Insanity gets when he's mad, and how controlling he can be.
"Yeah, he said that he was gonna take over the mindscape with me gone, so I can imagine he already had a pretty good hold over you guys." The other three watch in slight shock at how casually we interact, no more malice between us.
"Sorry about the way I treated you all." I turn to address everyone, no longer just Virgil "If I had a choice in the matter I actually would've agreed with you, it was very wrong of me to impersonate Patton, and it was the wrong situation to lie in." I apologize. Patton almost lights up, quickly shaking his head.
"It's fine, you had a valid reason to do so considering what you mentioned about Insanity earlier." He says, glancing between Virgil and Insanity. Virgil notices the look, turning hesitantly back to me.
"What'd you tell them?" He asks, his voice unaccusing.
"I might not have mentioned that Insanity didn't torture you before." I wince as I lie, glaring briefly at Insanity. Everyone except Virgil and Insanity look confused, so Virgil begins to explain.
"He only has to lie in the dark mindscape, but Insanity can force him to lie as well." He says quickly, putting ease to their worry. Well, for most of them.
"How do you know this about him?" Logan asks warily, glancing between me and Virgil.
"We used to be best friends, but when he appeared in front of Thomas Insanity had control over him. I thought he had simply turned Deceit, as I mentioned earlier, making him view us as the villains willingly, so I reacted in kind." He says, clearly anxious about how the others will react "Sorry about that, you were forced to act that way, I was not." He says, turning to face me once more. I shake my head.
"It's not fine." I let out a frustrated sigh, while Insanity smirks.
"Hey, you are in no position to be doing that. There are still multiple weapons surrounding you, and you have no control over this situation. Quit it." Virgil says coldly, glaring over at Insanity. He frowns, before lighting up. Virgil winces and fear takes over me as I realize what's happening.
"Hey! Don't stop that! That is okay! Keep hurting him!" I shout, growling in frustration as he shows no signs of quitting. I look to Roman, an apologetic look in my eyes "I'm not sorry about this." I say, quickly grabbing his sword and pointing it at Insanity's throat. His eyes widen and Virgil immediately straightens up, he's no longer being forced into a panic attack. I turn back to Insanity as soon as I'm sure Virgil's alright "That's much better. Now will you behave, or will this sword need more enemies blood on it?" I ask harshly. He swallows, a loud gulp sound that's hard to achieve, but of course he likes to be dramatic, and shakes his head frantically, a fearful look on his face "Good, I thought so." I say, carefully handing the sword back to Roman, who looks just as shocked as Logan and Patton. It's justified of course, I just went from villain, to friend, to even worse villain, then back to a calm person. They have a right to be surprised, I would be too.
"Well I guess we should do something about this." Logan says, clearing his throat. We all nod, and Insanity is throw back the dark mindscape, still bound with the snakes. I'll deal with him later.
"I gotta say, it's nice to have you back Deceit." Virgil says, a grin forming on his face. I nod, returning it with a smile of my own. Yeah, we're not going to be perfect, especially after what happened with Insanity, but hey. At least we got rid of that asshole.

I'm on a roll today! Same thing as the last two, you know the drill :)
