if i got on my knees
and begged the sky
it would stop thundering?
do you think
if i screamed loud enough
this world would stop
and hear my cry?
do you think
if i begged every night
for the sun to stay
night wouldn't come?
do you think
if i fell badly
they would give me their wings
so i could fly?
and then it hits you
that it will continue to rain even if entire cities have been destroyed. the earth will continue its orbit even if you wish it to stop for a second.
the sun will go down every night no matter how much you crave sunlight.
this world is selfish beyond our imaginations.
it will never stop for you.
but you know what you should do?
wage a war.
life throws some rain at you?
bring it to shame with a hurricane
this world seems indifferent to your cries?
cry louder.
the sun leaves you every night?
fall in love with the moon.
they would rather see you fall than try to help?
obliterate. them. with. kindness.
this is your battlefield
wear your armour
sharpen your sword
now is not the time to lose
