"Did You Miss Me, Mycroft?"
The majority of the journey was spent in silence. Both occupants of the vehicle hiding how happy they were to see each other again. When the car finally pulled up outside a concrete building. They entered the building in silence and she followed him into a grey walled office and leant against the door as it closed.
"Did you miss me, Mycroft?" He rubs his forehead and manoeuvres around his desk to take a seat.
"Twenty seven years, Genesis." Nodding, she steps forwards and braces herself on the back of the chair across from him.
"You wouldn't believe the amount of times I've heard that phrase today." He shuffles in his seat and picks up a few papers on his desk before sliding them over to her. "I received these images a few hours ago." Picking up the pictures, Genesis flicks through them. Frowning with each image of her and her father in the car and when he left her to find her way to Baker Street. "Why, after all of these years have you come to London in the company of Charles Magnussen?"
Throwing the photographs onto the desk, Genesis leans back and crosses her arms. She narrowed her eyes at the man across the desk and wondered if age had dumbed him down unlike it had her. After all, the man was part of the British government. She expected he had some common sense.
"What's my name, Mycroft?" He straightens up, smoothing down his suit. "My full name."
"Genesis Rosalie Magnussen." She nods, pointing at him briefly making a hissing noise with her teeth.
"So why is it that spending time with my dad is a government concern?" Linking his fingers together and leaning forwards, Mycroft slides the papers across the desk into a neat pile at the end.
"It is a concern because Charles Augustus Magnussen is a classified potential threat and you have been missing and presumed dead by my brother for years and now you both show up in his flat on the same day. Frankly, I don't believe that's a coincidence." Smirking, Genesis stands and leans across the desk. They were practically nose to nose by now.
"Well, aren't you a clever man?" He closes his eyes as her breath brushes over his face. Gathering his thoughts after a moment Mycroft opens his eyes finding himself still nose to nose with her.
"I know you were working in an ice cream shop in Newport, Genesis. Why did you come back now?" Genesis simply smirks and turns to leave the room. "Your father is a dangerous man, Genesis!"
"No!" She yells and turns back. "He's intelligent, possibly more so than you. He may not be a good man but he sure as hell is a great one." The look on Mycroft's face was one she hadn't seen since the day she met him. Calming slightly, she sighs and releases the door handle. "Be not afraid of greatness, Mycroft: some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon 'em. My father was conditioned into this business, exactly how he had my brother before he passed." Opening the door she turns around slightly. "He's not a threat. He's simply utilising his gifts."
