DING DONG

"Who is it?" I make my way to the door and see my best friend Hyeri on the other side. I open the door and ask, "What are you doing here? You didn't even call me."

She squeezed herself inside and walked straight towards my bedroom. "Get ready, we're going out!"

"What? Where? Why?"

"Just hurry up!"

After forcefully making her way in and getting me all dolled up, we head to a cafe. Hyeri's arm is linked with mine as she drags me inside.

As soon as we entered, we almost ran into two guys. "Oh! Hyeri!" One of them said.

My eyes fell on the tall, cute and handsome guy with brown hair and brown eyes. He looked quiet but he was so handsome, I couldn't help but stare at his facial features. First his eyes, then his nose, his lips, and then his jawline.

"Sorry, we're late!" Hyeri's eyebrows furrowed, "Wait, we're you guys gonna leave?"

"A-ah no! We were just gonna go out for some air since you weren't here yet."

"Sorry," Hyeri pulled me close to her and woke me up from my trance. "This girl took forever to get ready."

"Y-yah!" I muttered quietly to her, "You're the one who dragged me out..."

Hyeri just giggled and said, "Let's go grab a seat and introduce ourselves to each other!"

As soon as we all sat in our seats, the talkative guy turned to me and asked, "What's your name?"

"My name's ____."

"Nice to meet you. I'm Baekhyun. This is Sehun."

"I can say my own name," Sehun said it jokingly but he looked a bit annoyed too as he glared at Baekhyun.

Baekhyun laughed nervously and then turned his attention to Hyeri. "Let's go order the drinks."

As Hyeri and Baekhyun stood up, I quickly held her wrist and quietly spoke with gritted teeth, "Where are you going? Don't leave me alone after dragging me here."

She forcefully took my hand off and laughed, "I'll be right back!"

Hyeri and Baekhyun both walked away to order our drinks, leaving me and Sehun alone in awkward silence. It didn't last long though as he suddenly stood up from his seat to stand next to me.

He looked down at me and said, "Let's ditch them. They brought us here when we didn't want to. Let's go have fun ourselves."

"Huh?" I didn't know what to say so I just sat there staring at him with confused eyes.

*Play Music Here*

He smiled and held his hand out to me. It was at that moment when I saw sparkles and a bright halo coming over him, so I gently placed my hand in his. He wrapped his hand around mine and we walked out of the cafe together.

We walked through a busy park where families and couples were flying kites, kids were running around chasing each other, and nice music was playing loudly from the stage performance. There were food vendors here too, so I guess it was a kite festival.

Sehun and I walked side by side, not saying much. I couldn't help but sneak a few glances at him now and then. But of all times when I decided to sneak a glance, he was also looking at me. I quickly averted my gaze and pretended like I was looking at a kite behind him. "Wow, that kite was really pretty!"

I laughed and quickly took a few steps ahead of him to hide my embarrassment. I didn't have to look at him to know that he was laughing.

"Let's get a kite too," Sehun said as he walked next to me.

"Sure! Let's get a kite!"

"Ahjumma, can we buy this jellyfish kite?" Sehun asked.

"Aigoo of course! Since you two look like a beautiful couple, I'll give you 50% off!"

"A-ah we're not-"

I tried protesting but then Sehun wrapped his arm around my shoulder and said, "Thank you! We look really good together don't we?"

I was speechless but still able to smile at the ahjumma, just awkwardly...

Sehun and I headed to the field and finished setting up the kite. He handed me the string and said, "I'll hold the kite for you so you can fly it."

I was so excited, I nodded my head and ran as soon as he counted to three. I ran until I got the jellyfish kite up high in the sky. Sehun quickly came over and stood by me with a smile on his face. "You looked so cute doing that."

"Huh?" I looked up at him with surprise and all he did was smile. I couldn't help but shyly smile back at him. It was at that moment when I felt something between us clicked.

We grew comfortable around each other and talked all day like there was no tomorrow. He stood up and wiggled around like how our jellyfish kite looked like up in the sky. I laughed so much my stomach was hurting. "Don't~ Everyone's looking at you!" 

"Come on, it's fun! You do it too!" He grabbed my hand and pulled me up off the ground. He started shaking and wiggling again, and we both could not stop laughing. We were laughing so much, I didn't even notice that I was laughing in his arms until we made eye contact. 

"Well well well, what do we have here?" Sehun and I looked towards the voice to see Hyeri and Baekhyun walking over to us with a smug expression on their faces. 

We both quickly pulled away from each other and Baekhyun said, "So this was where you two eloped to."

"What are you talking about!" Sehun and I blurted out at the same time.

Hyeri wrapped her arm around Baekhyun's and said, "Let's leave the two alone and finish our date~"

Baekhyun turned his head towards her and gave her an eskimo kiss as he said, "Alright alright baby, let's go~"

Sehun and I both knew they were acting like that on purpose but the sight was really something. As soon as they walked away together, Sehun and I looked at each other before laughing out loud from their cringe-worthy performance. 

Then Sehun held his hand out to me and said, "Shall we continue our date as well?"

When he called this a date, I felt my heart beating quicker and could not suppress a smile. I gladly placed my hand into his once again and he smiled at me as our fingers intertwined together. He excitedly shouted, "Let's go!"
