I hear tapping in the walls
Footsteps in halls
Shadows in the corners
Nightmares filled with horrors
Whispers in the night
Yelling at my fright
Shifting in the sheets
Why won't you let me sleep?
Are we ever truly alone?
Because my head says that there are ghosts
Buzzing around, making strange sounds
I just want to feel safe in my home
Are we ever truly solitary?
Because my head says that I should be wary
Of everything, the demons sing
Such sweet sounding songs, it's so scary
We are living with spirits
They scream and I don't wanna hear it
But still, they always find
Their way into the back door of my mind
We are living with the dead
They love playing tricks on my head
I turn my lamp on so I can't see
The monsters lurking right beside me
Are we ever truly alone?
Because my head says that there are ghosts
Buzzing around, making strange sounds
I just want to feel safe in my home
Are we ever truly solitary?
Because my head says that I should be wary
Of everything, the demons sing
Such sweet sounding songs, it's so scary
