As I lay in here in the dark
Trying to fall asleep
Listening to the passing trains
I start to think
Maybe we're all passengers
Aboard the train of life
And one day we will reach
Our destination then we die
But isn't it a beautiful thing?
Passing trains
And beat up brains
Searching for our stop
Tired eyes
Exhausted minds
Reaching for the top
We all want to have purpose
Trying to be something
Listening to the voice inside our heads
They're deafening
Reach up, block them out
Listen to your soul instead
Reach up, as high as you can
To the sky over our heads
Too bad the clouds are vapor
Or I'd build my kingdom there
We'd never worry again
Watching the animals from the air
Isn't it a beautiful thing?
Passing trains
And beat up brains
Searching for our stop
Tired eyes
Exhausted minds
Reaching for the top
Isn't it a beautiful thing?
