Harley, Babs and Selina all loaded up into Selina's car and took off to meet Ivy at the mall to for Harley's first day of baby shopping. As they drove Harley played loud bubblegum pop punk singing her lungs out.
As they got to the mall Selina poked Harley next to here with a platinum card and smirked, "Bruce said buy whatever you see you want.... and stay out of the Batmobile."
With laughter in her voice Harley replied, "Deal haha! Hes such a nice guy... tell me tho, we aren't the first ones in the Batmobile are we?" Selina shook her head, "He would kill me if I told you but no you're not. He and I have a couple times.... it does drive itself ya know." She winked and Babs in the back gagged,
"you're both disgusting and on that note we are here. Let me out!" The girls all laughed and piled out when Selina parked.
As they walked into the mall a second later the second red head to their group popped up with a sultry voice, "hello ladies. Harley you're getting so big!" Ivy smiled broadly at her and put a hand to Harley's growing belly and felt little movements.
"Let's go blow some cash ladies!!" Harley squealed and hurriedly waddled to 'Babies and Stuff'.
The girls walked in and Harley gasped, "Circus nursery! Oh a circus!! Yes!!!" She waved over an employee and chattered excitedly, "I need 2 white cribs, 2 white changing tables, one white nightstand, 2 of the circus mobiles, 2 of the circus bedding sets, one circus lamp, 2 sets of circus wall clings, 2 giant stuffed elephants; one pink and one blue and oh yeah 2 mattresses for the cribs! That's just what I need in decor."
Ivy, Selina and Babs exchanged looks before Ivy spoke up, "Well, you can take the clown from the circus but you can't take the circus from the psychotic killer clown!" All 3 girls giggled as Harley rolled her eyes at them.
The young girl working's eyes lit up and she began ringing everything up and picked up a phone calling in 2 large men,
"Miss.Todd here wants this all delivered today, start loading the truck with the furniture and we will continue to ring up and prepare anything else she finds." The 2 men looked over at the alabaster skinned girl wandering the store and shrugged, "ok" they both said picking up stuff to load up.
Harley picked out circus themed clothes and spit rags. She bought every tutu they had in every color. She bought a little leather jacket like Jason's for little Jason. She bought socks, shoes, diapers, wipes, a breast pump and onesies covered in funny sayings. The 3 ladies with her watched as she grinned and bought everything she deemed cute enough for her babies.
Babs and Selina spoke up, "you know you've bought everything you need" Selina laughed. "Yeah you're gonna make it impossible to get you anything cool for the shower!" Babs added with giggles.
Ivy smirked, "I'm preparing my special toxin I gave you for babies, I want my niece and nephew protected in Gotham from the start."
Harley hugged her tightly and said "thank you!" She looked around and sighed, "I want a milk shake and food. I'm over this place haha!" She went to the register as the employee finished boxing and ringing everything up. The total made Harley's heart fly into her throat as she handed her Bruce's platinum. Once she was returned the card she handed it to Selina and said, "I really hope Bruce doesn't see the receipt Haha!"
They left the store thanking the gentleman and register girl. Harley called Jason, "um so Jason, theres a truck coming to deliver stuff.... tip them well please...." she paused, "and dont open anything yet. I wanna paint first!" Jason's laughter was heard by the other ladies, "Sure thing loony tunes. So are you on your way home?" Harley replied, "no I want a chocolate cake shake and fries and a bacon cheeseburger!!" His laughter soared, "Ok, bring me back a shake?" Harley agreed and after they both said I love you they hung up.
She turned to Ivy and selina gagging and Babs looking at her like she grew a 2nd head. "What? We do love each other. We have our nice moments....fuck I am marrying him you know?" They 4 laughed as they walked out of the mall and piled in to Selina and Ivy's car to meet up at Harley's favorite dive diner with her milkshakes.
Once they piled into a booth Harley ordered a large shake, large fries and made her burger a double. The others ordered shakes and fries.
Ivy asked, "So I get Jason Jr. But why Lucy?" Harley looked far away for a moment,shook her head and smiled, "when I was a little girl I always dreamed of a little daughter named Lucy. All blonde curls and tutus. Now, I will have that...." she frowned and spoke softer, "I didn't think I would ever get another chance."
Ivy looked at the tears sparking as their food came and she hugged Harley, "I know babygirl, I know. I'm so happy for you!!"
Babs and Selina nodded in agreement. Harley beamed, "awe shucks thanks ladies!" She than tore into her food like she hadn't ate in a week instead of since this morning. Everyone else dug in and absently chattered.
Meanwhile at the manor, Jason, Bruce, Dick and Damien were eating lunch with Alfred when the doorbell rang. Jason announced, "Must be Harley's delivery." He went to answer the door and signed. The others came to see what the delivery was and watched as 2 men carried a store's worth of stuff into the nursery Jason had pointed them to.
Bruce shook his head, "I'm not bringing anything to the shower Jason!" He teased, his voice full of laughter. Jason nodded and waited for everything to be in the manor. Once unloaded he tipped the men well enough they left with grins and joking with each other.
Harley came walking up with Selina and Babs watching the gentlemen get in their truck and leave. They walked in to the boys discussing painting the nursery. Jason explained, "Harley wants the room half cotton candy pink and half cotton candy blue. The theme is circus. Let's do it tomorrow?"
Harley rushed to him, handing him his milkshake and sipped hers, "ooorrr do it tonight instead of patrolling? With me??" She asked hopeful. Jason smiled and nodded. "Yay!! She squealed, "I got maternity overalls hoping you would say yes!"
She ran off to change and as Dick went to leave with Bruce to prepare for patrol Babs said, "oh no we are helping too! Bruce and Damien got it tonight." Dick shrugged "ok, but I'm drinking while I paint."
Jason laughed, "me too brother. Me too." Babs scoffed and went to go find Harley and offer their help.
