Walking Away from everything

Harley was stressed, Althea and Jerome had been in Arkham for two weeks now. Lucy went and visited Althea the day before. She was only sinking deeper into insanity.

"Ma, I gotta break her out! She's muttering to herself in front of me. I can't stand to know she's in there like that. She told me they put her and Jerome in Joker's old cell and they haven't been allowed out except when I visited."

Harley frowned,

"I can only imagine how the ginger is handling it. J.J is demonic as the days go on. He wants his dad. As much as I can't stand Jerome unfortunately he's a good dad. I agree we have to get them out but this is going to take us from being off the Bat radar to not being able to go home."

Lucy stared at her hands for several moments,

"I'm okay with that. Althea wouldn't hesitate to get us out. Damn the consequences."

Harley grinned and clapped her hands,

"Good because I found a great abandoned mansion out the outskirts of Gotham. 10 rooms, huge kitchen, massive garage. Plenty of space for anything J.J wants outside. We move in the daytime. I want everything out of the penthouse today and moved. We will put J.J's room together first and theirs. I want everything taken from here except the shit in the club. We will empty your house tomorrow. Jason and I will go last.

I want everything transferred into Jester and Cherry's names today. Deeds, businesses, etc. everything legit. I've got it all signed and ready to go. Four days and we go in."

Lucy nodded and moved to call Ace and Johnny. Harley picked up new phone and sent a text to Jester,

It's go time. You just inherited a fortune kiddo.

Jester sent back a thumbs up. He would be off to transfer everything into his name. Harley called Jason,

"Ready to be front page super villains?"

Jason groaned,

"No but I'm ready to give this demon spawn back to Al and ginger fuck. He's asked me all day where they are. The same thing he asks every day."

Harley laughed,

"Four days babe, come make sure the boys handle the lab with care. I don't need any explosions or weird meta humans coming from this."

It was Jason's turn to laugh,

"What's wrong, not missing Ivy enough yet?"

Harley cackled,

"She texts, that's good enough. Her and Swamp Thing are saving the rain forests. We can't say a goon meta would be as... ummm sane?"

Jason roared with laughter,

"Oh that's rich! You called Ivy sane! Okay I'm on my way!"

Althea paced the small cell as Jerome laid back on the bolted bed and watched her grinning.

"Alley girl you're gonna pace to China! Come here lemme take your mind off everything! You haven't so much as kissed my cheek since we came here!"

Althea glared at Jerome,

"There are cameras Jerome. Guards perving on me doesn't exactly get me in the mood."

Jerome grinned,

"I may or may not have gotten a guard paid to shut our cameras off."

Althea grinned and stopped pacing to look her husband up and down

"Yeah?"

Jerome stood up and moved swiftly over to his wife,

"Relax baby, you know Lucy and the family are working on getting us out. Until we get out for at least therapy we can't do anything."
