Jason and Harley watched J, Lucy, Althea and Jester play in the yard. Jester chased the younger 3 playing tag in the yard as Bud and Lou laid by Harley's chair.
"Ma, ma!! I'm thirsty!!" Yelled Lucy as she ran up to her parents happily. As if hearing her Alfred and a beautiful red head appeared with Lemonade.
"Cherry!!" Jester shouted and told his siblings to take 5 as he ran up to his girlfriend hugging her.
Life wasn't perfect, Jason and Harley still went out at night and did the dirty work The Bat Clan wouldn't do. Jester stopped the drug trade but he was still running Joker's old crew and territory but with his girlfriend Cherry and treating her far better than his father ever did Harley. Althea was born, bright green hair and big blue eyes.... her father's rage, alabaster skin. Lucy was a spitting image of her mother, pale and blonde pigtails, with a Jersey accent that's never seen the state. J was already training with Dick, obsessed to be Batman one day, dark haired and green eyed like his father and the same quiet brooding tendencies. It was a mess but it was a loving mess. Jason even signed Althea's birth certificate and made Jester and everyone swear to never speak of the clown.
Later that evening with Jester and Cherry gone and the kids in bed for school, Jason and Harley laid in bed enjoying their quiet time. Harley rubbed her hand gently down Jason's muscular chest and stomach with giggles and murmurs. Jason reached down and cupped Harley's face and kissed her passionately. As their lips parted Harley sighed in happiness and want,
"after all these years you can still make me melt with just one kiss."
Jason smirked, "Loony tunes, nobody else gets me like you.... or makes me as hard as you do." He rolled her on to her back and placed himself on top of her kissing her hard, eliciting a groan of pleasure into his mouth. They spent the night making love.
Sometimes there are happy endings for broken people, Harley thought as she lazily drew light circles on Jason's chest she was snuggled up to, both spent and content.
Life wasn't perfect but it was pretty damn close.
