"Uh huh...yeah. Okay, see you there in a few minutes." Mitch hung up and put his cell phone back in his pocket. Scott and Mitch were sitting on a bench right outside of the recording studio. They had just finished working with their producers on writing songs for their first album. "So, what did he say?", Scott said anxiously with his eyebrows up high. Mitch closed his eyes and let out an extended and overly dramatic sigh. "Someone else had a better offer than we did for the apartment.." Scott sighed with disappointment and buried his face in his hands. "Ugh, are you kidding me? That place was so perfect for us! How could this-" Scott noticed that Mitch had started to smile while trying to hold in a laugh. Scott quickly sat up straighter on the bench, facing Mitch. "Wait, you're kidding, aren't you.", he said starting to smile. Mitch finally let out the laugh he had been trying to hold in. "Yes, I'm kidding! We have an apartment!", said Mitch as he was tightly hugging Scott. Scott released his grip on Mitch and looked at him. "I can't believe it! So, what now?" "Oh yeah!", said Mitch. "The landlord told us to meet her there in a few minutes so we can sign all of the contracts and stuff." Scott stood up from the bench and held out his hand for Mitch to help him up. "Well let's get going then! We have an apartment to get too!" Mitch proudly took his hand and smiled as they walked to Scott's car together. Scott opened passenger door for Mitch as he got in the car and shut the door. He then walked around the front of the car and got in, putting the key in the ignition and starting the car up. As Scott turned on his signal to pull out into the road, Mitch turned on the Radio. 'Crazy In Love' started to play and Mitch turned the volume up high so they could sing to their hearts content. They came to a stop light as they continued to sing together to the lyrics they knew so well. "Uh oh, uh oh, uh oh, uh no no..." They were both excited to start this new life together, nothing could bring down their mood.

Scott pulled into the driveway in front of the apartment and put it in park. "This is it.", exclaimed Scott. "I know, I'm so excited!", said Mitch.

They took off their seatbelt and got out of the car. They walked up to the door. "Is the landlord here?", asked Scott. "Um..." Mitch took his phone out of his pocket and checked his messages. "Let's see... Ah, she says that she's here already. Just knock on the door." Scott knocked on the door and they waited. The landlord opened the door. She had dark brown hair that was in a curly pony-tail. She had on a black suit with a purple tie. She held out her hand to them to shake their hands. "Hi, Scott and Mitch, is it?" They both smiled and nodded as they shook her hand. "Is this the first home you two have bought?", she asked as she gestured them in. She shut the door behind them. "Yeah", said Mitch. "We're like, super excited to be roommates", he said as Scott put his arm around his shoulder. The landlord seemed a surprised at Scott's actions. "Oh!...are you too...um...you know?" Both Scott and Mitch's face turned bright red as Scott quickly took his arm back at his side. Mitch nervously scratched his head. "No, uh, we're just really good friends.", said Mitch nervously. "Alrighty then..", said the landlord and she put her suit case on the kitchen counter. "Well, here you go, boys, the contract." She laid the piece of paper out on the counter right in front of them, also laying a pen beside it. "Just read it and put your names on the dotted lines, and you are set to go!", she said with a smile. Mitch smiled as he looked up at Scott. "You ready?" Scott smiled and picked up the pen. "Let's do it." They both read the contract and they both signed the paper. "Alright! This place is now all yours!", the land lord said with a smile. She took her suitcase off the counter and started waking to the door. She put her hand on the doorknob and rested it there as she looked back at them. "If you have any questions or concerns, you know the number. Have fun getting settled in!" "Thank you, again!", said Mitch and Scott in unison as she left the apartment.

***3 weeks later***

"Ahhh...", said Mitch as he slowly sank into the new sofa they had just put into the living room. Scott had poured two glasses of wine into glasses in the kitchen and started waking towards Mitch at the couch. "To us...being officially moved in as roommates.", Scott said with a smile. He handed a glass to Mitch as he smiled. "To us.", said Mitch as they clanked their glasses together. They both slowly took a sip of their wine. Mitch set his glass down on the coffee table right in front of them. "So when are they all coming over?", asked Mitch. Scott took out his phone. "Kirstin said they're almost here." There was a knock at the door. They both chuckled. "Or...already here", chuckled Scott. Mitch and Scott both got up from the couch, Scott setting his glass next to Mitch's. They waked to the door and opened it, finding Kirstin, Avi, and Kevin. "Hey!!", they all yelled in unison. "Hey guys, come on in!", said Mitch as he gestured them in. Scott shut the door behind them. "Guys, the place looks great!", said Kirstin. Avi walked around the living room. "Yeah I love what you've done with the place." Kevin happily sat on the couch. "Go ahead and have a seat, Kevin." , Scott joked at he chuckled. "Don't mind if I do", said Kevin as he picked up one of the glasses of wine that Scott and Mitch had left behind. "Hey, that's mine!", yelled Mitch, terrified of the germs he had left. "Sorry..", said Kevin as he slowly put the drink back down. Mitch made a disgusted face. "Keep it." Kirstin walked to the couch and sat by Kevin. "It really does look great, guys.", she said with a smile. "Thanks said Scott with a smile. "Would any of you guys like anything to eat or drink?" Avi walked to the kitchen with Scott. "Depends on what you have.", joked Avi. Mitch sat on the other side of Kevin on the couch. Kirstin stood up from the couch. "Just water for me is fine," she said "Hey um, where is your bathroom?", she asked looking at Mitch. Mitch pointed down a hallway. "Down that hallway, second door on the right." "Thanks, said Kirstin as she went down the hallway. As she walked down the hallway she smiled at all the pictures they had framed on the walls. She could recognize most of them being from Pentatonix concerts.

After Kirstin washed her hands, she heard a faint knock on the door. "Hold on, I'm coming.", she said. She dried her hands with the hand towel on the sink and opened the door. No one was there. "Huh?.." , Kirstin mumbled to herself. She walked around the corner of the hallway into the living room, surprised to see everyone was in there, just talking like they had been all day. "Guys, did anyone knock on the door?" She asked, concerned. "No?", said Scott. "We've been in here the whole time.", said Mitch. "Oh..", said Kirstie as she went back to her place and sat by Kevin.

***2 hours later. 8:00 pm.***

"Alright, see you guys later!", smiled Scott as he watched Avi and Kevin walk out to their car. Kirstin was still standing right beside them as Scott closed the door. "So..", started Kirstin, looking back and forth from Scott and Mitch, "No one knocked on the door when I was in there?" Scott seemed to get a little annoyed. "No, Kirstin. For the last time, nobody knocked on the door." He walked over and sat on the couch, talking his phone out. Kirstin and Mitch still stood by the door looking at each other. She put her hand on Mitch's shoulder. "You believe me though, don't you Mitch?", she said quietly. Mitch shrugged. "Look Kirsty, no one knocked on the door.", he said calmly. Kirstie shrugged and got her purse off the kitchen counter and put it over her shoulder. "Fine", she said in an irritated tone. She opened the door herself and walked out to her car, closing the door behind her.

Mitch walked over to the couch and sat by Scott, crossing his legs. Scott set his phone on the coffee table. "Well..that was fun.", said Scott with a sigh. Mitch looked at Scott. "You know... we're alone now.", he said with a seductive tone. "Not now, Mitch.", he said, trying to hold back a smile. Mitch took Scott's hand gently and placed the back of his hand softly against his lips, kissing it softly. Scott looked at Mitch with a smile. Mitch slowly put Scott's hand down into his lap, his fingers intertwined. "Alright..", Scott said with a smile. "I knew would give in..", said Mitch with a suggestive smirk as he slowly leaned in towards Scott. "I always do..", whispered Scott right before his lips touched Mitch's. All of a sudden, they heard something loud fall in a bedroom, the sound causing them

to pull apart from each other. "What was that?..", asked Mitch, holding on tighter to Scott's hand. "I don't know..", said Scott. They both got up from the couch, holding hands. "Did it come from over here?..", Mitch asked Scott as they walked into their bedroom. Scott led them both in the bedroom. "Do you see anything?", asked Scott, still holding Mitch's hand. "Oh my God.." , said Mitch. "What?", asked Scott. Mitch pointed at a broken picture frame on the floor by where it hung before. Scott let go of Mitch's hand and got down on his knees to study the picture. He looked at all the shattered glass around it. "It's the picture of me and you from our vacation last summer..", Scott said sadly. There was another louder crash from another part of the apartment. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" , asked Mitch, too terrified to even move. "Hold on.", said Scott nervously as he quickly got up from the shattered picture on the floor and ran out of the room. "WAIT, SCOTT!..", yelled Mitch, standing there afraid to move an inch. He whispered..."Don't leave me..."
