"Today is Friday!" Jasmine excitedly say, grinning at me as we sit on the cafeteria benches.
"It's a shame that the week flew by" she continues and I couldn't agree more.
This week was pure torture, it was filled with homework, quizzes, assignments and late night studying. I deserve a break. A fun break and this weekend is just what I need to relax and have a great time.
"So... any plans for the weekend?" Jasmine asks me.
I pretend to think, taking about fifty seconds to answer, just for the fun of being dramatic.
A huge smirk play on my lips while answering her "Probably thinking of going to a club or party."
Jasmine shoots me a wicked grin and that is her way of agreeing with me.
While eating my sandwich and talking about which outfit to wear for tonight, I see Jasmine distractedly looking at my direction, trying to maintain eye contact with me.
Her eyes aren't focus on me, it is focused else where.
I turn to see what she is looking at and the sight shock me to my very core.
I see my sister, Alison, walking with Jordan. They both look happy.
She wears a shy flustered smile on her face while his is filled with admiration, looking at her and they both are heading towards our table.
I gulp, trying to make sense of what I am seeing and Jasmine must have realized my uneasiness because she places her hand on mine telling me not to worry that Ally and Jordan must be friends.
"Hey guys" Ally greets us as she approaches our table and gesturing to Jordan with her hand, she introduced him to us while sitting down.
"Nice to meet you Jordan" I tell him, trying to appear nice and friendly for my sister's sake while pleading to God that this man in front of me is not romantically involved with Ally and won't use my sister the way my ex boyfriend used me. I don't ever want anyone to experience that kind of pain, not even my worse enemy.
He flashed me a million dollar smile, showing me his perfect pearly straight white teeth and replied "Nice to finally meet you too Jessica, Ally has said a lot of great things about you."
He turned to face Jasmine "Nice to meet you as well Jasmine, I have heard a lot of great things about you as well"
Jasmine smile and reply "Likewise"
I smile at him, a real bright smile at Jordan completely aware of the of the entire student body population staring at us in shock and jealousy.
From the corner of my eye, I could see Violet, who was once my best friend, staring at us in complete and utter hatred and anger.
You see, almost all of the female population at Elton Woods High School wants to either date or sleep with the infamous five and the good thing about it is that the infamous five doesn't give a crap about the horny hormonal girls.
"So Jordan, what brings you here to our table?" I ask him politely because I'm dying to find out.
He looks at Ally for a quick second with a soft smile on his face, who is engross in her avacodo and bacon sandwich, and then turn to face me.
"Ally is my chemistry partner, we're working on a project together and she talks about you guys a lot, so I wanted to meet you two and it was worth it" I felt like crying at hearing that.
I swear that I am not sensitive, but the way Jordan looks at Ally, makes me want to believe in love again.
"Well Jordan, you are very well welcome to sit with us for lunch again" I tell him truthfully. Maybe all of those rumors about him aren't true and are made up by jealous students. He looks at my sister with the kindest and purest look, like one would give a newborn baby. The few minutes of him sitting here shows how much he cares about my sister, he is nervous around her and always looking her way whenever she isn't looking.
While Jordan and Jasmine are engross in a conversation about dinosaurs, I notice that only now some of the females are still glaring at us, giving us, not Jordan the stink eye.
I nonchalantly raise my hand in the air, showing the girls the middle finger, for 7 seconds, a silent way of telling them to 'fuck off.' all the while Jasmine is completely unaware of what I did, but I get a glimpse of a smirk playing on Jordan's lips while Ally is staring at him in awe. He must've saw what I did.
Thinking about how Jordan and my sister are friends, I take notice of his group of friends, sitting in the corner of the cafeteria.
Alex is air drumming, while the twins, Austin and Justin are laughing, probably at some joke and Joshua, well, he is smiling and oh boy does he look handsome.
Wait, did I just said handsome. No scratch that. I have never saw the infamous five as handsome let alone Joshua. I know what you're thinking, yes they're good-looking, but I have never looked at them that way, you know.As if he senses someone looking at him, his eyes land on me. I gulp, with nervousness and excitement, as I watched his smile morph into a scowl as he continue to stare at me.
I didn't look away and raise my right eye brow to challenge him and continue to stare back at him.
Eventually, after fifty-five seconds, he turn his head to face Alex. I roll my eyes at his behaviour and before I could face my table, I saw Justin waving at me.
Giving him a small smile, I wave back and the bell rang, signalling that lunch is over.
The four of us say our goodbyes to each other and proceed to go to our afternoon classes.
Jordan and Ally walking to go to their AP Calculus AB class while Jasmine and I went to our AP World History class.
