You knew just what to get your sister for her birthday.  Your sister was ten years younger than you, but you realized you both had the same interests.  Her present would be a piece of cake... or rather, a piece of chocolate.  You slowly pushed open the grand doors of your town's local confectionary shop.  The smell of rich chocolate filled your nose, and you felt calm.  Behind the counter, you saw a guy's back as he was hunched over something.  You leaned around, trying to see what he was doing and realized he was decorating some chocolates.

When he looked up and saw you, he smiled warmly, leaving you with the same feeling a piece of chocolate would.  "What can I help you with?" he asked.

You looked at all the selections and settled for nine pink butterfly chocolates since your sister was nine years-old.  You knew that it would be a hit.

"Would that be all?  I have some samples of a new caramel-filled chocolate I made.  Do you think you could try one and let me know what you think?" the guy behind the counter asked.

You nodded, taking one piece off the sample tray and plopping it in your mouth.  The rich dark chocolate melted away leaving traces of the caramel filling behind.  It was so good, you couldn't put it into words.

"How was it?" the guy pressed, anxious that his chocolates hadn't turned out that great.

"This may be the best chocolate I've ever tasted," you finally replied.  "Um, can I get two more of those?"  You read his name badge.  "Thanks for letting me try them, Lee Know.  You've really got a talent for making sweets."

He smiled, his grin sweeter than the chocolates you had just bought.  "You can just take the rest of the samples if you want.  Let me pack them up for you."  He handed you another box with the sample chocolates.

When you got home, your little sister was already in her birthday dress.  Mom had tied her long hair in pigtails, and you set down the wrapped box of pink butterfly chocolates in front of her.

"Whoa, you got me a present?" your little sister asked, her doe eyes wide.

You laughed.  "Of course!  Go ahead and open it!"

You watched as she unboxed the treats, and her face lit up when she saw them.  She gave one of the chocolates a try, and her expression lightened.  "Y/N, try one!  These are yummy!"

You bit into the wings of one of the butterflies, and the flavor really took you by surprise.  It tasted like strawberries!  You thought of Lee Know's grinning face, and you automatically smiled.

Eventually, you started visiting the chocolate shop down the street more often.  It became more of a spot where you would hang out or do homework before going home.  Lee Know struck up conversation with you once in a while, offering you different chocolates to try here and there.

Today, you were working on your presentation for your seminar class.  Lee Know watched you take a seat at the same circular table you always sat at whenever you stopped by his store.  He watched you pull out your laptop and plug in your earbuds.  The usual.  But today, he noticed the dark circles under your eyes and the messy ponytail you had raked your hair into.  You looked exhausted.

Lee Know brewed two fresh cups of coffee, and he almost laughed at how startled you were when he set down one of the cups in front of you.

"Oh, I didn't order coffee," you looked at him with a confused expression.

"It's on the house," Lee Know answered, pulling a chair up to the table and sitting beside you.  "Whatcha working on?"

You tried to not let yourself get distracted by his beautiful smile and his dark, chocolate-toned hair.  His sleeves were pulled up, revealing his strong, tan forearms.  The apron he wore hugged his figure a little too well.

"A presentation for one of my classes," you hesitated before replying.  "It's been stressing me out a lot.  University presentations are the worst."

Lee Know nodded in agreement.  "Um, well, maybe I have something that will help you out a bit.  I'm looking for a part-timer here at the store- just some extra hands to help me make the sweets.  I was wondering if you were interested.  I could teach you everything I know.  It'd be a good way to take your mind off whatever's stressing you."

You thought about it for a second.  "Um, I'm not the most skilled baker.  I don't want to ruin the chocolates."

The guy laughed, making you smile in embarrassment.  "No experience needed.  I'll be there to walk you through the steps.  So, can you come in everyday around this time?"

You gave him a thumbs-up.  "Sounds good!  I have to get home and finish this presentation, but I'll see you tomorrow, Lee Know.  Wait, let me give you my number before I go, so you can text me if you need anything."

So for the next month, you helped Lee Know with his chocolate creations.  At first, you were really nervous, but now you sorta got the hang of things.  It was a Saturday morning, and Lee Know had just made a fresh batch of chocolates.  They were sky blue with lime green drizzle, your favorite colors.  There was a coconut filling inside.  He had remembered you telling him how you had wanted to try making a really good coconut chocolate.

Lee Know pulled out his phone from the back pocket of his jeans, his finger hovering over the "message" button on your contact page.

You heard a "ding" from your phone, and you squinted to see who had texted you so early in the morning.  Saturdays were for sleeping in.  You slipped your glasses on and read the text from Lee Know.

Hey, I know it's super early, and there's no rush, but I made some coconut chocolates and was wondering if you wanted to try them.  Stop by the store anytime :)

That got you up.  You bolted for the shower, cleaning yourself up a bit before throwing on some decent clothes and some light makeup.  You were at the store an hour later.

"Y/N!  You're here!" Lee Know beamed.  "I didn't wake you up, did I?"  He looked guilty.

You shook your head vigorously.  "Oh no!  I was up way before that!  I always wake up early!  Let's see those chocolates!"

He gently held your hand and led you to the back where the tray of chocolates sat.  He handed you one, his face anxious like the first time he had asked you to try one of his experiments.

Your face immediately lit up.  "It's delicious!"

But Lee Know was distracted by the remnants of chocolate at the edge of your lips.  Without thinking, he placed his hands around your waist, pulling you closer, his eyes on your lips.  You blushed, not sure what was happening but not minding a bit of it.

His breath fanned your lips for a second before he kissed you gently and sweetly.  He could still taste the chocolate on your lips.  When he pulled away, Lee Know blushed and looked at the ground, unable to meet your eyes.

He was about to apologize when you shoved a chocolate in his mouth to stop him.  "I don't know if that was on purpose or just an accident, but don't say sorry."

"I meant it!" he blurted out.

You froze, studying his expression.  He looked pretty serious.

"I'm sorry that it was so sudden.  You're just always on my mind," Lee Know admitted.

"I guess that makes the two of us," you blushed.

Lee Know leaned back against the counter, pulling you closer to peck you.  "You know, we literally have the sweetest love story.  Get it?!?!  Because chocolate is sweet??!!"

You nudged him playfully before indulging in another chocolate kiss.
