Say Something (Han)

Han felt his cheeks heat up as you walked past him.  He hated the feeling because his cheeks easily gave away how he felt, but at the same time, it sent a wave of fuzzies crashing over him.  He didn't really know what this feeling was and why he felt it, but his bestie Lee Know had described it simply as "a crush."

Even though they were in high school, Han had never experienced this so-called "crush" before.  He had always paid careful attention to his grades and dedicated all his free time to his group 3RACHA- three boys including himself that rapped over their own beats.  He had never had time for a crush.  To be honest, it took him long enough to realize he liked you.

It had all started when you two had to sit next to each other in class.  You always read books and never took notes, but when you got your tests back, there was always a 100 scribbled at the top.  Han wanted to know what your secret was, and when he tried to ask, he realized how pretty you were.  Han remembered the way he could see his reflection in your eyes.  And your lips had twitched into a smile, forming two adorable dimples on either cheek.

"Yo, Han, are you okay?" Changbin nudged him.

Han realized he was just standing in the middle of the hallway, grinning like an idiot.  He straightened himself out and turned around to steal one more glance at you before following his 3RACHA buddies to the cafeteria for lunch.

When he got back to class after lunch, he saw you in your seat, laughing comfortably with a guy.  His eyebrows were raised in surprise under his shock of ginger hair as you told him something.  The two of you began laughing again, and as Han got closer, he realized the guy you were chatting it up with was none other than Felix.  Now everyone knew Felix.  He was probably the most popular guy in their grade, but he was also the friendliest.  He could light up the dullest rooms with just a few words.

Han couldn't hide the jealousy running through his veins.  He walked right up to Felix, tapping him on the shoulder.  "I think you're in my spot," Han stated blandly.

The smile on your face quickly faded and you buried your nose in another book, and Han felt his heart sink.  He wanted to make you smile the way Felix had.  He wanted to say something to you, but instead, he picked up his pencil and began doodling.

After school, Han was walking with Lee Know when out of nowhere, he heard your laughter.  Turning around, he caught a glance of you and some bright orange hair.  His bottom lip furrowed into a scowl.

"Whoa, chill out," Lee Know placed a hand on Han's shoulder.  "Why don't we go to the candy shop near our neighborhood and talk this out?  It's not good for you to bottle your feelings up.  You're like a shaken up soda bottle right now."

Han knew he was right.  He didn't want to explode.  So the two of them stopped by the candy shop, and when they pushed open the door, Han nearly fainted.  You were standing behind the counter in a pink apron, hair tied up in a neat ponytail.  Better yet, you were giving different samples to Felix for him to try.

Lee Know could see the hurt in his eyes.  "Ask for a sample."

Han slowly walked up to the counter, and he saw your eyes light up for a second.  At least you recognized him.

"Can I try a sample?" Han asked calmly, and you kindly handed him one of the chocolates you had made yourself.  He let his teeth sink into the chocolate, and he smiled.  The outside was a bitter dark chocolate, but on the inside, there were notes of sweet caramel and strawberry.  It was an interesting surprise.

"Do you like it?" you asked Felix.

Han couldn't hold back any longer.  "Why are you asking Felix when I'm the one who just tried it?"

You looked down, trying to hide the embarrassment written all over your face.

"Why do you keep smiling and talking to Felix?  Why are you so cold to me?  How is this guy that different from me?"

Lee Know watched everything go down from the table he was sitting at.  "Yikes, he definitely exploded," he shook his head.

Han sighed.  "Sorry, I shouldn't have overreacted.  You wouldn't ever possibly like someone like me who never makes you laugh or smile or comes to your store to try your candies."

Han turned on his heel, and Felix looked at you with wide eyes, signaling you to stop Han from walking out.

"Wait!" you shrieked, grabbing his wrist.  "Um, can we talk for a second?"  You led him to an empty table.  "Um, I actually made that chocolate you tried thinking of you.  You look kind of unapproachable on the outside, but you're actually really nice.  I'm actually really shy, and so I thought I'd get Felix's advice on how to talk to you, and he suggested making you some chocolate.  I'm sorry I couldn't say anything sooner."

Han felt horrible.  "No, no, don't be sorry.  All of us get a little shy sometimes."

"Would you want to go on a date sometime this weekend?" you asked with newfound confidence.

Han smiled, letting himself get lost in your eyes.  "I'd love to."

A/N:  Happy holidays everyone!  Take this time to keep your family and friends near and in your hearts.  Thanks puffycheeksj-one for requesting this jealous Han imagine!  It's definitely hard to finding the right words to start a conversation with someone you want to.

Question of the imagine: So, what would you say to your crush if you didn't know them but wanted to get to know them?  I honestly don't have an answer to this one because I may be stuck in a similar situation and don't know what to say haha!  I'm always super funny and energetic around my friends, but I  become really shy around people I don't know.  What about you guys??
