"You want to meet up?  Sure, I'm headed that way anyways.  Oh, I need to show you a picture of the dress I got for Valentine's Day, so that you can match your tie."

You hung up, smiling as you thought about meeting your boyfriend.  He seemed like the only person in the world who understood you and your strange thought process.  He could follow your train of thought from a station in Seoul to the one down in Daegu.  He understood your personality like no one else.  Each time you saw him, your heart beat uncontrollably in your chest.  He set your blood on fire in the best way possible.

You quickly headed to the spot he had asked to meet you at, blushing at the thought of meeting him in the school courtyard for everyone to see.  Was he going to confess before Valentine's Day about how much he liked you for the thousandth time?

He stood there, running his fingers through his hair so oblivious to how handsome he looked standing like that.  You took a picture of your boyfriend in your mind and smiled to yourself.  He was beautiful.

You poked the small of his back, and he whirled around in surprise, staring at your radiant smile.

"What's up?  You sounded like you had something pretty important to say," you prompted him.

He rubbed the back of his neck.  "Y/N, you know why I love the concept of seasons?  It's because the earth is changing in response to its surroundings.  The trees grow new leaves, drop old ones, blossom flowers here and there.  But Nature does what's best for itself.  You know that, don't you?"

You were trying your hardest to keep yourself from putting the pieces together.  You knew exactly what he was going to say before he could say it, and with the other students gathering around to soak in the spectacle, you felt uneasy.  Those words- you didn't want to hear them from him.

You glanced around and saw your older brother Lee Minho and his crew standing on the sidelines, trying to decipher what was going on.

"Who changed your mind?" you stared at the ground.  "Who convinced you that your heart doesn't belong with me?"

Your boyfriend bit his lip as the queen bee emerged from the crowd.  She was considered the most popular girl at your high school, and you grimaced eyeing her.

"The seasons are dangerously beautiful," you smiled sadly.  "Just when you adjust to one and come to love it, the leaves wither and die out."  With that, you turned on your heel and calmly walked out of the courtyard leaving everyone speechless.

Once you had gotten to the safety of your room at home, you let the tears fall.  Your bedroom walls had seen all these sides of you, but it had never judged you.  But what broke your heart the most was that now, there was no one out there who would love you the way he had.  Would you ever find someone again like that who got you like he had?

He replaced me so easily.  I can't meet someone like him again, you tried to comfort yourself.

There was a soft knock on your door, and you coughed and wiped the tears from underneath your eyes.  Minho slowly entered with a plate of cookies and tall glass of cool milk- your favorite snack.  You were thankful he was still here standing by your side.

"If it makes you feel better, your ex won't be able to post any pics online with his new girlfriend for a while," Minho smiled.

Your gaze dropped and noticed his scraped up knuckles and knew then and there your older brother had given that boy a piece of his mind.

"By the way," Minho spoke up, "are you busy tomorrow?"

Tomorrow was Saturday and Valentine's Day, but it looked like you wouldn't be wearing that new sparkly dress and going on that magical date like you had planned.
