Stray Kids Imagines

Pepero Kiss (I.N.)

You fidgeted nervously with the hem of your skirt.  Your group Jewel had only debuted two months ago, and you had already landed yourself on Weekly Idol.  There were eight other girls in the group besides you, each of them with the stage name of a gemstone.  Yours was Amethyst.

"You think today's broadcast will be easier because of the other group that will also be on there?" Peridot asked you.  She was the same age as you, so naturally, you were the two closest in the group.  

Before you had gotten in the van, your manager had told you that there would be another more experienced group on the show.  That could go either way.  On one hand, they would be more experienced, so they could help you out.  On the other, Jewel would only get a sliver of screen time because fans would want to see the group they'd supported for longer.

You sighed as the van arrived at the destination.

"Being nervous only makes things worse.  We can do this," Sapphire cheered the rest of the girls up.  She was the group's leader and an amazing one at that.

The makeup artists sat you down and added some color to your faces so you would be ready for the camera.  It wasn't long before you all were in the loading zone.  Suddenly, you were beyond nervous.  Sweat gathered on your palms, making them clammy.

There was the sound of the studio door opening, and male voices grew louder.  You realized the other group was a boy group, and your sweating amplified.  For some reason, you had decided in your mind that Jewel would be featuring with another girl group.  You saw one of their faces and gulped.

"Hello, we're Stray Kids," Bang Chan introduced the group to the girls.  Everyone knew Stray Kids.  They were becoming really popular these days with their style of music.

"Whoa, look at Changbin.  Everyone knows he works out, but his arms are much more defined in person," Peridot whispered in your ear.  

You glanced down the line of boys and blushed when you locked eyes with the maknae.  His eyes went wide and he quickly shifted his gaze to the ground.  He was cute.

The hosts brought you in front of the camera and immediately began filming.  Everything about the show felt much more comfortable than you anticipated.  The hosts joked about little inside jokes each group had with their fans.  And they revealed fun facts about each member.

"Amethyst, is it true you can write songs out of thin air?  We've heard that if we give you a word, you can come up with a song and melody instantly without any  background music," one of the hosts spoke.

You tensed in your seat.  You knew Peridot must have submitted that fun fact about you.  The only time you really sang like that was in the room you shared back at the dorms.  Peridot would be talking about trees, and suddenly, you'd be singing about trees.

"It's totally true!" Peridot squealed.  "Show them, Amethyst!"

You glanced at the boys sitting next to you and gulped.  You had only been able to sing like that because no one had been watching you.  Now both Jewel and Stray Kids were here to see you miserably fail.

"Sing about honeydew!" the other host suggested.

You cleared your throat.  There was no way you could refuse.  You saw what happened to idols who refused on the show.  Their screen time was cut in half, and the hosts would turn all icy and give them the cold shoulder.  They'd be made fun of nonstop, and you definitely did not want to deal with that.
