Marahang pinapadausdos ni Ethan ang kaliwang kamay sa buhok ni Araya. After crying for god knows how long ay nakatulog ito sa kanyang bisig. Hindi siya umalis sa tabi nito at niyakap lang ito ng mahigpit. Hindi ito nanlaban o nagwala, umiyak lamang ito ng tahimik na mas lalong dumurog sa puso ni Ethan. He could not do anything but to hug her and wish that it comforts her.

Nang makatulog kasi ang kambal ay napagdesisyunan niyang sabihin dito ang mga nangyari noong umaga. Ayaw na niyang patagalin pa ang lahat dahil baka saan na naman mapunta ang lahat. Even if the news breaks him and it breaks him even more seeing her cry, he said it.

"Kitten?" Ethan whispered. Umungol lang ito at tumingala sa kanya. Their hands were clasped together in between their bodies. Humigpit ang hawak niya sa kamay nito. Hindi niya alam kung paano sasabihin kay Araya ang balita.

With his free hand he brushed away her bangs just like he always does. Pinadausdos niya ang mga kamay sa pisngi nito na dahilan upang mapapikit ito. Itinaas nito ang magkahawak nilang kamay at inilagay sa ilalim ng ulo nito at duon umunan. Her silence, her sweet smile that she has been giving him is killing him.

"You can do what ever you want with me. You can punch me, claw me. Hurt me all you want, love." He choked. Hindi niya napigilan ang sarili. Damn this! He cried two times this day at mukhang tatatlo pa siya.

Hindi niya napigilan ang sarili, bumitaw siya sa mga kamay ni Araya at isinubsob ang saril sa dibdib nito. He hugged her right there, right then. The comfort of her made it harder for him to hold back his tears. Maybe it is gay, but he does not care. All he care about is Araya and Araya alone.

"This is all my fault. This is all on me. I will do what ever you want, Kitten. I will accept it." His tears started falling down her cotton pyjamas. "I deserve it. I deserve your anger, but I don't deserve you..." those last words were barely whispers.

Naramadaman niya ang kamay ni Araya na yumakap sa kanya at  hinaplos haplos ang kanyang likod na tila ay pinapatahan siya. "It is not. We both know that. Hindi ako nakinig sa iyo. I chose hold on to grief and anger." Yumakap siya lalo kay Araya. Fuck it! He will never be enough for her. He's... he's too evil for an angel like her.

"I heard the doctor, Ethan. I heard it all." Her voice broke and he felt her hand grip his shirt. Hindi napigilan ni Araya ang sarili at hinayaan ang sariling umiyak. A silent one. Napapikit si Ethan nang maramdaman ang paghikbi nito. How did they get in here? How all of this shit happened? Minahal niya lang naman si Araya, yuon lang ang mahalaga sa kanya.

"We loss our baby, Ethan. I will never forgive myself." Narinig niyang saad nito at lumakas ang pag iyak nito.

Right there, he decided to be strong for both of them. Pinilit niyang hindi sumabay sa pagluluksa nito. "Ssshhh. Kitten.. please don't do this to yourself. Please." Nanatili siyang nakayakap rito he showered the middle of her neck sweet kisses while trying to make her stop crying. Sa huli ay lumayo siya dito at kinabig ito sa kanyang dibdib. Agad naman itong yumakap sa kanya at duon muling umiyak.

"It's not your fault, sweet kitten. It will never be." Bulong niya rito. Patuloy pa rin ito sa pag-iyak ngunit mas mahina na kaysa kanina.

"I did not tell the kids." He decided to tell her. Maybe telling her stories will calm her down. "I know how much it will hurt them." Dagdag pa niya. Ang kaninang sakit na nararamdaman niya ay mas dumoble pa. He is opening and old wound. It hurts him so bad but he need to start telling her about his life. She deserves to know.

"I was six when my mom first had her miscarriage." Napapikit siya ng maalala ang ang pangyayaring iyon. Her mom was watching her play. Nasa park sila at naglalaro siya ng bola ng soccer habang ang kanyang mommy ay nakaupo lamang sa ilalim ng puno.

"I was there when it happens. I was always there." Her mom had a miscarriage three times and the last was the worst one. "The first one was like this. No one knows about the baby, even mom. It was a month and a week old when it happens." Napahigpit ang yakap niya kay Araya. Tila ay naririnig niya ang bawat pag iyak ng kanyang mommy at hindi niya iyon kayang pakinggan. It haunted him for all his teenage life.

"I heard her cry all night. I did not know what's happening at first but I know my mom was hurting. My dad told me that we lost my sister or brother that is why mom is crying. Mom never cries. She's always smiling." Naramdaman niyang gumalaw si Araya. Kumawala ito ng bahagya sa kanya upang yumakap sa kanyang leeg at duon sumiksik.

"The second one was harder. We all knew about it. I talk to her baby bump all day all night. I have been waiting for so long and I was so excited." Sandali siyang tumigil at hinaplos ang buhok ni Araya. "But then again it did not survive."

He heard himself choked with the last words. "But last was the hardest." Muli siyang napaiyak. Niyakap niya ng mahigpit si Araya at mahinang lumuha sa ulunan nito. "The twins took mom with them." Images ofbhim sleeping beside his mom's hospital bed came rushing back his memory. "I wait and wait and wait and wait for her to wake up but he never did." Muling nagsimula ang paghikbi ni Araya. Agad pinunasan ni Ethan ang mga mata. "That is why I was so scared when you pass out. I can't loose you, Araya... not the same way I lost my mom... hindi ko kakayanin."

Patuloy niyang sinuklay ang buhok ni Araya. Mahimbing na itong natutulog sa kanyang tabi. Hindi niya lubos maisip na nasabi niya na sa babae ang mga bagay na iyon. It is just one of his nightmare s that he wants to leave behind him. Ngunit hindi pala pwede. Hindi pala pwedeng takasan niya lang iyon at bakuran. She has to know. All of it. And he knows and sure of that he will tell her everything... everything at the right time. One at a time. No more secrets. No more lies. No more past that will be left behind.
