all mistakes are mine.

it's currently 11 in the evening. i spent all day with the hemmingtons and now i'm driving veronica back to her condominium. we drove in silence, i didn't mind the comfortable silence.

when my car came to a complete stop in front of her abode, that was when i realized that veronica was smiling widely at no one and nothing in particular.

"you look happy," i stated, accompanied with a small smile. veronica's smile is contiguous - it's impossible not to get infected.

she turned her head to my direction. "i am happy," she replied, still smiling from ear to ear.

"you look like you just won the lottery."

"i guess meeting and becoming your friend is considered winning the lottery," she said with a shrug.

"i guess so," i chuckled. "but seriously though, why do you look so happy?"

"am i not allowed to be happy?" veronica raised a brow.

"it's just weird is all. i've known you for over a year and this is the first time i've seen your smile reach your eyes."

"it's that a good thing or a bad thing?" she titled her head to the side.

"definitely a good thing. don't worry."

"good," she breathed out. "my sister and i have a huge age gap. sometimes, i feel like i'm her mother. so, seeing her bouncing on her feet, continuously thanking me for bringing you in our house - just seeing keneddy happy in general makes me happy too."

my smile grew when i heard her statement.

"aw, veronica has a weak spot for her little sister," i teased and poked her shoulder.

she playfully rolled her eyes. "everyone has a weak spot, lisa. mine just happens to be my little cute sister."

"if i was given a chance to have a little sister right now, she would most probably be my weak point too."

"so, if you were to have a little sister today. . . rosè would no longer be your weak spot?"

"no," i shook my head. "both of them will be my weak spot," i answered confidently.

chaeyoung will always have a special part in my life. she'll forever be my weak spot in everything. no joke.

"aw, that's sweet," she pinched my cheek. "anyways, enough of the cute stuff. party tomorrow?"

i smirked the moment i heard the word "party". i'm not in love with parties, but they're super fun and they're a great way to relieve some stress. and trust me, i need a lot of stress relieving.

"when and where?" i asked, somewhat excited.

"when. tomorrow, 9PM. where. at hunter's house," she replied. "do you remember who hunter is? i introduced him to you once."

i remember him. hunter anderson. great guy, good sense of humour, he's the type of friend that always have great stories. sometimes his stories are too great that you'll start to think that he's completely lying. his one of veronica's close friends.

"yeah, i remember him. but i don't know where he lives."

"ah, right," she said with a nod. "i'll pick you up. how does that sound?"

"sounds damn good!" i said with a smile. "see you tomorrow?"

veronica nodded and planted a quick and soft kiss on my cheek. "bye!" she uttered and left. i kept my eyes glued to her as she made her way inside the building. when her walking silhouette was nowhere to be seen and i knew that she made it safely to her destination, i finally drove off.
