"Another boring day in the damn class, ugh, this is such a drag." A spiky haired, ponytail wearing, teen boy said with a groan.
He glanced over at you, noticing you were having just as much fun as he was. "Hey, (y/n)." He called out. "Let's say we blow this place and go grab some ramen." He smirked as you turned to him, a smile plastered on your face. Of course he was too dense to catch the sarcasm gleaming in your (e/c) eyes.
"Sure thing, Shikamaru. Right after Choji gets on a diet and Ino stops fantasizing over Sasuke." You retort back, getting a slight sense of satisfaction while watching the smirk fall from his face.
"Whatever, you're such a drag anyways." He says as he rolls his eyes. "Choji going on a diet... yeah right. All you had to say was no.."
"And where is the fun in that, Shikamaru?" A deep voice discoursed rather quietly. You recognized the voice immediately, it's quiet yet powerful sound belonging to only one person, not just any person, your best friend.
"Oh shut it, Sasuke, no one asked for your opinion. Go back to not saying anything why don't you." Shikamaru exclaimed as he got up and marched towards the door.
You assumed he was trying to leave (possibly to go get some ramen) but he didn't make it two steps out the front door, something /or someone/ was standing in his way.
"And just where do you think you're going Shikamaru Nara?" A soft yet powerful voice spoke. You looked up from where you were sitting to see the silver haired Jonin it bellowed from.
"I was just gonna go to the bathroom Kakashi-Sensei, not my fault I couldn't wait any longer. And besides, you were the one who was late anyways." Shikamaru retaliated, huffily walking back to his seat.
"Ah yes, sorry about that class. I uh.. got lost, on the path of life." He said, closing his eyes. You were sure he was smirking too, but no one could really tell with his black mask covering most of his face.
Everyone in the class groaned, except for you. Yeah, you all were used to his more-than-lame excuses for always showing up late, but you seemed to be the only one to find them amusing. While everyone was in the midst of groaning, you actually formed a small smirk, and it would've stayed there if you and your Sensei wouldn't have made direct eye contact.
Your smile dropped and you could feel the warmth of red trickle to your cheeks, looking down in embarrassment as he smirked again under his mask. You looked back up for a brief second and he shot you a small wink, making you blush even more.
Why is he doing this to me...you thought to yourself. This was the second time just this week he has been flirtatious with you... wasn't he?... or am I just reading too much into it..? You shake your head, trying to bring yourself back into reality. "Maybe I'm just going crazy. No one like him would ever think of me that way."
"What was that Ms. (l/n)?" Kakashi Sensei asked as he turned away from the chalkboard to look at you.
You have got to be kidding me! Did I really just say that out loud!?! You heard Sasuke stifle a laugh, and you kicked the desk that he was sitting in next to you, glaring daggers at him.
"U-uh, nothing Sensei.. just uh, reading out loud.." You say as you look back at him, hoping he believes that non sense.
"Okay, well for now just put the book away. I'm trying to teach a lesson." Kakashi smiled and turned back to the bored, writing on it. "You can teach her a lesson." Sasuke says under his breath, just loud enough for you to hear it.
You reach over and smack the back of his head as he chuckles at his less-than-witty remark. "You say one more word and I'll feed you to the sharks!" You say as you sit back up in your seat and pay focus to your Sensei- I mean... what your Sensei is teaching... yeah... that.
20 minutes go by and class is finally over. Kakashi dismisses you all as he gathers up his things and erases the chalk board.
You grab your bag, waiting for Sasuke to get done packing up by his desk.
"So are we still on for a sleep over at my place?" You ask. You're sure that you saw Kakashi look up for a brief second with that remark.
"Of course. I just got to tell Gaara where I'm gonna be. He hates not being informed." Sasuke rolls his eyes at his statement about his partner. Not everyone knows about him and Gaara being a couple, but quite frankly it's really no one else's business.
"Gaara huh?" You both hear someone say from behind you. "He's quite the choice Sasuke. But, with a gifted student like you, it doesn't surprise me you surround yourself with others who are just as gifted." Sasuke blushes, forgetting that Kakashi Sensei was still there. "Thanks Sensei." Was all he managed to mutter out.
"No problem, Sasuke." He smiles as he ruffles the both of your hair. "Remember training for Team Seven starts tomorrow, be up bright and early and meet in our usual spot." Kakashi says as he leaves the room, not waiting for any complaints.
"Ugh really.. I feel like we just got done training." You roll your eyes, "Time off was great while it lasted."
"Hmph. I thought you'd be excited to start training." Sasuke said as we walked out of the classroom and on our way home. "And what makes you think that?" You asked as you glared at him.
"Kakashi Sensei! Oh Kakashi Sensei! Watch me throw this! Watch me hit that! I'm a greaaat student! Oops! I dropped my Kunai by accident! Let me just bend down slowly in front of you and pick it up!" Sasuke mimics you as he bends down in front of you. You kick him hard in the butt making him fall over as he is laughing.
"SHUT UP YOU PERV ITS NOT FUNNY!" You scream at him as he still laughs. You reach your hand out and grab his, pulling him back up. "I knew I should have never trusted you with that secret." You muttered under your breath. Sasuke threw his arm around you and said "Oh you know I'm just messing with you. God.. boys make you so sensitive." He chuckles again slightly, this time making you laugh too.
"Oh shut it you big lug. Now, come on. I'll beat you to my house!! Last one there has to by dinner!" You laugh as the both of you take off running to your house, a sigh of relief escaping from you for you're glad you are done talking about your Sensei.
