You awoke the next morning with a booming headache. As you sat up your hands went straight to your temples, rubbing them to see if that would ease the pain booming through your mind.
You groaned to yourself. "I am never. Drinking. Again."
You felt the bed shift a bit, causing you to turn your head. You spotted your Sensei cuddling a pillow, his eyes closed and his mouth opened slightly as he took deep breaths in and snored them out.
You giggled to yourself as you heard his faint snore. Typically men had a horribly loud snore, but not Kakashi.
You carefully crawled over him, climbing out of bed and to your feet. You went to walk but the room started to spin and you fell back, landing right on top of Kakashi, a loud 'OOF' escaping your lips.
That damned hangover was really taking its toll on you.
"Are you okay?" You heard your Sensei's voice ask you groggily, him sitting up and wiping the sleep out of his eyes.
"Yeah I'm fine. Sorry, didn't mean to hit you on my way down." You chuckled nervously while standing up. "I have the worst headache. And I had the worst nightmare last night."
Kakashi looked at you with an eyebrow raised in suspense, waiting for you to explain.
"I had a dream that my mother showed up. And I didn't know what to do so I just, started throwing things at her. I lost my shit and I probably would've killed her if you hadn't stepped in and pulled me away. After that it's a bit foggy, but that was pretty much the gist of things."
Kakashi looked at you with a stern look plastered on his face, the gears in his head turning as he played over last night events.
She thinks it's all a dream... he thought to himself... maybe, maybe I shouldn't tell her.. she doesn't need the stress, and I'm sure her mother won't be foolish enough to come back around..
"Kaka Sensei?" You questioned him.
"(Y/n).. it wasn't a dream."
You looked at him, studying his facial features as he words rung through your head.
He looked calm, but you could tell that he had been questioning whether or not to tell you. Perhaps that's why he looked so lost in thought before you questioned him.
"What do you mean.."
Kakashi climbed out of bed and stood over you, his hand resting on your shoulder. "I mean it wasn't a dream. Your mother was here. You saw her and you snapped. Picked up anything you could to hurt her, and I had to bring you back here before you could do any serious damage."
"But.. but no that can't be because I saw my dad. My dad was in my dream. Is.. is my dad here too?" You felt this sense of hope that maybe since your mom was really there, your dad could've been too. But deep down you knew that was too far fetched. "What about my dad?"
"I believe that was me just manifested into your dad by your thoughts. The alcohol was playing tricks on you. You kept calling me and begging me not to leave, even grabbed onto my leg to prevent me from leaving the room. I had to play along by picking you up and cuddling you until you fell asleep.. then I went and talked to Loretta."
"Do not.... please don't say her name..." You spat at him unintentionally. That name on its own chills your bones.
"Sorry..."
"So you know her name. What other information did you get?.."
Kakashi spent the next few minutes explaining everything that went down after you passed out, not leaving out a single detail.
